Episode 7 recap: Luo Mai Ming secretly met with Bian Luo Huan, and Yue Qi, who was drunk and intoxicated with wine, arrived.
Luo Mai Ming was in the middle of painting when Luo Zhao Yan came to find him. He quickly covered the painting, and Luo Zhao Yan asked if they needed to go and visit Bian Luo Huan now that they had captured him. Luo Mai Ming asked Luo Zhao Yan if she couldn't hold her breath anymore. Luo Zhao Yan just wanted to confirm Bian Luo Huan's identity. If he was related to the Qiyuan Sect or if he was Saint Xuan, they could pursue him and destroy the Qiyuan Sect in one fell swoop.
However, Luo Mai Ming said there was no rush. He wanted to take action himself first. At that moment, Luo Zhao Yan suddenly suffered a backlash from the curse within her body. Ju Shi Fang approached with a crystal stone and examined it carefully. Yue Qi felt a sense of familiarity upon seeing it, and Ju Shi Fang believed that the crystal stone could help enhance their previous design, Xiao Dou Bao. Yue Qi was very interested and wanted Ju Shi Fang to accompany them for an experiment. Before leaving, they also took some delicious food.
The grass butterfly that Bian Luo Huan released was his way of gathering information. Seeing that Yue Qi still loved to eat, he couldn't help but smile. When Yue Qi and Ju Shi Fang came out, they encountered a large dog. Bian Luo Huan no longer avoided the issue and openly stated that the scenery of the Luo family was beautiful and that they monopolized the hot springs. There must be something they wanted in exchange, and Luo Mai Ming was the guardian of the hot springs.
Yue Jin Zhao and Xian Qing noticed the grass butterfly and found it to be identical to the one in Bian Luo Huan's room. Ju Shi Fang and Yue Qi were working on Xiao Dou Bao, and their experiment was very successful. However, Ju Shi Fang felt that the function compartment of Xiao Dou Bao was not stable enough and wanted to find a way to reinforce it. Meanwhile, Yue Qi caught a whiff of a fragrance and followed it, only to discover a lot of fine wine. Unable to resist, she opened one and started drinking. However, she couldn't stop herself and ended up drinking several cans.
Inside the Octagonal Tower, Bian Luo Huan told Luo Mai Ming about the origin of the hot springs. The hot springs had been roaming according to the celestial trajectory, but for the past two hundred years, they had been stuck in the Luo family's domain. The only way to prevent their movement was through blood binding. Luo Mai Ming's soul was the anchor, bound by a blood curse, and as long as the hot springs were bound, he could never leave the Luo family.
However, blood binding went against the natural order and would result in a curse. After hearing this, Luo Mai Ming realized that Bian Luo Huan was no ordinary person, as he even knew about blood binding. Bian Luo Huan explained that for over two hundred years, none of the Luo family's twins had survived past the age of thirty, which was the curse that the Luo family had endured. He knew that Luo Zhao Yan's life force had been absorbed by Luo Mai Ming.
Enraged by the revelation, Luo Mai Ming attacked Bian Luo Huan, but he was no match for him. Luo Mai Ming asked if Bian Luo Huan knew how to lift the curse, to which Bian Luo Huan replied that he didn't, but someone else did. Yue Jin Zhao and Xian Qing arrived outside the Octagonal Tower and noticed there were no guards. Intrigued, they decided to go inside and investigate.
Ju Shi Fang found Yue Qi and discovered that she was completely intoxicated. Luo Mai Ming realized that Bian Luo Huan wanted the hot springs to roam freely according to the celestial trajectory and told him he was welcome to take them, but he was curious about Yue Qi's situation. The relationship between Bian Luo Huan and Yue Qi seemed extraordinary. Was he really her master? Just then, Yue Jin Zhao and Xian Qing walked in and overheard the conversation. Luo Mai Ming asked them to reveal themselves, while Bian Luo Huan swiftly flew out of the Octagonal Tower.
Once the two of them revealed themselves, they engaged in a fight. Xian Qing was surprised to find that Luo Mai Ming was a male. Years ago, Luo Wang Ping sacrificed himself and exchanged half of his demonic power for Xian Qing's sake, but he died halfway through the process. Yue Qi, who was heavily intoxicated, couldn't even recognize Yue Jin Zhao, but she kept clinging to him. Yue Jin Zhao remembered Luo Mai Ming's words and worried about what would happen if Bian Luo Huan was indeed Yue Qi's master.
In order to gather more information, the group set off for the Zhengwu Alliance. On the way, Luo Zhao Yan was once again affected by the curse. Xian Qing hurriedly helped her stabilize her cultivation, and when Luo Zhao Yan woke up, she had a sense of familiarity.
