Episode 4 recap: Under the Cliff.
Liu Bo has been on this side of the cliff. When he saw Long Ao Tian coming, he was very happy and said that he had been waiting here for so many years. Finally, he had the chance to see someone and wanted to teach him all his lifelong martial arts skills. Long Ao Tian said he didn't come to learn martial arts from him; he accidentally fell while going up the mountain to gather herbs and asked Liu Bo to quickly rescue him.
Liu Bo didn't listen to Long Ao Tian and kept insisting on teaching him martial arts. However, Long Ao Tian didn't want to learn from Liu Bo, but he was stuck and couldn't go up or down. Long Ao Tian tried to climb up using a rope, but Liu Bo cut the rope, preventing Long Ao Tian from going up at all.
Long Ao Tian wanted to find another way to climb up, but to his surprise, Liu Bo pulled out a cannon and tried to shoot Long Ao Tian. Long Ao Tian was frightened and quickly said that he was willing to learn martial arts from Liu Bo. Liu Bo took out his martial arts manual and said he would teach Long Ao Tian lightness skills, making him train constantly on this side.
Long Ao Tian checked his weight and found that he had unexpectedly lost 10 kilograms. He was very frustrated and said that he didn't want to learn this kind of lightness skill. Long Ao Tian wanted to run back, but Liu Bo fired the cannon and directly knocked Long Ao Tian down, leaving him extremely frustrated.
Long Ao Tian wanted to soak in a medicinal bath and asked Liu Bo if there were any Chinese herbs available. Liu Bo took out a prepared herbal bath and offered it to Long Ao Tian, explaining that there was no water below, so he collected rainwater when it rained and accumulated it over time.
Liu Bo also added a lot of urine to the bath, which made Long Ao Tian very angry. Long Ao Tian asked why Liu Bo came to this place, and Ah Qiang informed everyone that there was a master under the cliff if they wanted to succeed. Several people gathered here to talk, and Ah Qiang's disciples had already become martial arts alliance leaders. Although Ah Qiang only knew a little bit of martial arts, he was good at marketing. By claiming that there were masters under the cliff, many people went to him to become his disciples.
Liu Bo and others came to this side of the cliff, intending to find a master to become their disciples. However, there were many people here, and they had to decide whether to stay or leave after playing rock-paper-scissors. Although many people jumped down from above afterwards, they all died from the fall, and there was no one left for Liu Bo to learn martial arts from. Long Ao Tian sympathized with Liu Bo and said that if he could go up, he would call Liu Bo "Master."
Liu Bo took out his martial arts manual, stating that it was very difficult to practice. Unexpectedly, Long Ao Tian quickly mastered it and was able to leave. Liu Bo also wanted to leave, but there was someone waiting below who wanted to pass on their lifelong martial arts skills to him. Liu Bo was unable to leave despite his desire to do so.
It's like a group of boys who never grew up, loving fantasies and enjoying tabletop games where they can fully immerse themselves with their imaginations.
So, every project they work on, such as "The Young Master and Me," seems illogical and unrealistic to most viewers. But when you take a closer look at those references, they are actually clever and skillful, with depth and technique.
The feeling is still very good, although it may not be a belly-laughing comedy. In my opinion, it's more like a comedy film that blends humor, philosophical thoughts, and various aspects of life.
Comedy can also be diverse in form. It can be a funny with a touch of warmth, or a joyful with a hint of sadness.
