Episode 11 recap: Chen Xin Cheng took over the nursing home.
Chen Xin Cheng officially took over the overall work of the nursing home, but the elderly residents were not very welcoming of his arrival. Xiao Chang Qing was unhappy with Chen Xin Cheng's immediate actions, and conflicts started to arise between them. Sun Qian Cheng heard that the television production line organized by Chen Xin Cheng was about to start, so Chen Xin Cheng immediately expressed his intention to return to the group.
Xiao Chang Qing and Sun Qian Cheng learned that Chen Xin Cheng would be fully in charge of the nursing home from now on, and they both were reluctant. However, since he was appointed by the group, they had no choice but to accept it. Sun Qian Cheng came up with a solution.
Chen Xin Cheng's main concern was still the group, so they could divert his attention and interest towards the group. That way, Chen Xin Cheng would not have much control or influence over the nursing home. On the day Chen Xin Cheng arrived, Sun Qian Cheng warmly addressed him as General Chen and followed him, while Xiao Chang Qing listened to Chen Xin Cheng's instructions and work arrangements.
The two of them proposed to report their work to Chen Xin Cheng, focusing on trivial neighborhood conflicts and disputes in the nursing home. After listening to a few cases, Chen Xin Cheng finally lost patience. He considered himself a CEO managing a company, but now he ended up dealing with trivial matters involving gossiping and quarrelling.
Sun Qian Cheng mentioned that there were also non-trivial matters, such as the television production line organized by Chen Xin Cheng in the group, which had already been dismantled. Sun Qian Cheng asked Xiao Chang Qing to gather everyone and inform them to welcome Chen Xin Cheng's arrival and speak up about any concerns they had. When Chen Xin Cheng met with everyone, they all complained about him causing the downfall of the state-owned electronic tube factory, which led to the loss of their stable jobs.
Chen Xin Cheng tried to explain, but no one understood. They dispersed one by one. The three old buddies sat together drinking. Chen Xin Cheng vented his frustrations, and Xiao Chang Qing advised him not to worry too much about his big ambitions, which annoyed Chen Xin Cheng.
Chen Xin Cheng made up his mind to work at the nursing home. He instructed Xiao Yue to purchase office furniture and order some newspapers, and asked Xiao Yue to pay for it first. Xiao Yue had no money, but conveniently, the two old buddies walked in. Chen Xin Cheng asked Sun Qian Cheng to pay in advance and get reimbursed later.
The two of them solemnly stated that any purchase of office supplies in this facility needed to be reported to them first. Chen Xin Cheng was only responsible for the nursing home and was just an ordinary staff member. They arranged Chen Xin Cheng's independent office next to the restroom, with ample reasons that made it hard for Chen Xin Cheng to refuse.
Seeing the grandmas outside dancing in the square, Chen Xin Cheng also started moving in his office. Sun Qian Cheng tried to divert Chen Xin Cheng's attention and came up with the idea of involving him with Grandma Niu, persuading her to join the square dance group. When Chen Xin Cheng noticed Grandma Niu's incorrect dance steps, he couldn't help but speak up, and as a result, everyone asked him to join in as well.
