Episode 17 recap: Xia Mingzhou went to the retirement center.
Xia Mingzhou was about to go to the retirement center to serve as the chairman of the management committee, but Xiao Changqing and Chen Xincheng did not agree with her coming to manage the retirement center. Niu Dama and several elderly people came to complain, believing that the newly arrived Xia Mingzhou was a troublemaker and was seriously affecting them. Chen Xincheng decided to invest 5 million yuan in the retirement center, while reporting to the group and looking for developers to attract more elderly people to move in.
One night, Xia Mingzhou fainted and was sent to the hospital again. Sun Qiancheng went to see her, and Xia Mingzhou agreed to move into the retirement center, but she had a few conditions: first, she wanted to live alone; second, she wanted to participate in the management of the retirement center and have an independent office. Theoretically, Sun Qiancheng could meet the first requirement, but the second one was uncertain. Without electricity, the speakers could not be powered on and stopped. When Xia Mingzhou went to report this, Chen Xincheng and the others just gave her the runaround. As soon as Xia Mingzhou left, the three old guys started laughing, making Xia Mingzhou come back and question whether they were laughing at her. The three of them then racked their brains to come up with various excuses.
Privately, Chen Xincheng and Xiao Changqing demanded that Sun Qiancheng stand on their side, otherwise Xia Mingzhou would always be one step ahead of him. Sun Qiancheng reluctantly agreed. The general manager of the group, Mr. Tian, summoned Xia Mingzhou to the group and told her to go to the HR department to sign the retirement documents, as all the retirement procedures had been completed.
