Auntie Niu refuses to move, saying she's doing it for the sake of her daughter, but her daughter feels that her mother's actions are embarrassing. Chen Xin Cheng said that this house of Auntie Niu's is the first property that Xiang Huaicai swindled, indicating that Xiang Huaicai has debts. People say that there's only one thing that can mortgage this property—the opportunity to meet Xiang Huaicai in prison.
Sun Qian Cheng and Xiao Chang Qing go to the prison to see Xiang Huaicai, claiming that they are there to give him a chance to redeem himself. Auntie Niu and her deceased husband struggled their whole lives for this property, so she doesn't agree to sell it. Wang Xiu Ju is both helpless and angry. She never wanted this property in the first place, and now selling it would earn her some extra money. Most importantly, they can't keep the property anymore.
Auntie Niu can't bear to see her daughter in pain, so despite her reluctance, she eventually agrees to sell the house. Wang Xiu Ju goes to the retirement home to inform the three old folks that her mother has agreed to sell the house. Xiao Chang Qing suspects that there's something fishy going on between Xiang Huaicai and the private lending company.
If evidence can be found, then the basis for the court's ruling that the private lending company is legal will no longer hold. However, Sun Qian Cheng is unwilling to get involved in this matter any further. When dealing with someone like Auntie Niu, he doesn't expect her gratitude, he just hopes she won't complain. Xiao Chang Qing goes to find Chen Xin Cheng, hoping to transfer Auntie Niu's personal pressure to the retirement home and the company. However, Chen Xin Cheng firmly disagrees, as private matters and public affairs should be kept separate.
Even so, Xiao Chang Qing still takes the two old folks to see Auntie Niu and successfully convinces her to agree to keep the house for now and then investigate the private lending company. Just in case, Chen Xin Cheng presents an agreement for Auntie Niu to sign, making her take responsibility for the consequences. Otherwise, it would be difficult to explain later.
Chen Xin Cheng, who has been leading the company for many years, also suspects some foul play in the lending process. Sun Qian Cheng is even more certain about it. He suspects that Xiang Huaicai owes two million yuan to that lending company, so he deceived Auntie Niu into mortgaging the house for a loan. The three of them then go to find Wang Xiu Ju and persuade her to pay for the legal fees for the lawsuit.
With solid evidence, the court rules the lending transaction as invalid, and Auntie Niu finally gets her house back. After leaving the court, Chen Xin Cheng is surrounded by a group of elderly people and reporters. He makes some vague remarks. However, the matter is far from over. Sun Qian Cheng and Xiao Chang Qing go to find Auntie Niu but unexpectedly learn that Wang Xiu Ju insists on selling the house and rejects Sun Qian Cheng's proposed solution.
To put it plainly, Wang Xiu Ju looks down on her uneducated mother and has no attachment to this rundown community and house. Moreover, she needs to buy a new house and must sell this one to do so. Although Auntie Niu is reluctant, she still agrees to sell. On the day she moves out, she cries and looks back three times, wiping her tears as she moves into the retirement home.
