Episode 16 recap: Romance in the Refrigerator.
Lin Qian Yu sang a love song to Bu Han Lu, and the school saw it as the beginning of a puppy love relationship among the seven-member group. As a result, they were collectively summoned to meet with their parents. Feeling disappointed, the seven of them sat on the rooftop, while Liu Yi Xian blamed the boys for their actions, which led to the collective summons.
To avoid embarrassment, Lin Qian Yu had to lie and say that their confessions were fake in order to preserve the friendship within their group. Cheng Xiao Feng and Guo Hai Yang didn't know what to do. They didn't want to involve their parents, but they couldn't avoid it either. When their parents arrived, they didn't know what to say.
Lin Qian Yu's grandparents were delighted to learn that Lin Qian Yu sang a love song to Bu Han Lu, but their joy quickly faded when Bu Tian reminded them that the teacher was criticizing them. The head teacher decided to dismantle the seven-member group directly in order to suppress the signs of puppy love. Lin Qian Yu and Bu Han Lu were no longer allowed to sit together, and Fang Da Wu and Liu Yi Xian were also separated.
Unable to sit together, the seven-member group resorted to passing notes occasionally in class to communicate their thoughts. After school, Guo Hai Yang kept a close eye on Lin Qian Yu and the other boys to see if there were any inappropriate actions. Lin Qian Yu and the others had planned to meet up outside of school, but to their surprise, they discovered that Bu Han Lu had left with Duan Chi before they could leave.
Bu Han Lu wanted to become a pilot, so he went with Duan Chi to gather information, which made Lin Qian Yu extremely jealous. Liu Yi Xian and Meng Hui Yuan were waiting at the store, but suddenly Liu's mother appeared and wanted to take Liu Yi Xian away. Liu Yi Xian and Meng Hui Yuan had to leave first and put all their belongings in the refrigerator.
Fang Da Wu received the recipe given by Meng Hui Yuan, and Chen Xiang found the scratch cards left by Liu Yi Xian. As a result, Lin Qian Yu rummaged through the refrigerator to see if Bu Han Lu had left anything for him, but there was nothing.
After Duan Chi and Bu Han Lu finished checking the exam room, it was already late, so they had to walk and look for a taxi to go home.
After returning home, the seven-member group, whose phones were confiscated, contacted each other through QQ. However, Bu Han Lu hadn't arrived home yet, which made Lin Qian Yu very worried.
Bu Han Lu called Liu Yi Xian and informed him of his whereabouts, and Liu Yi Xian relayed the information to everyone through his earphones. Liu Yi Xian deliberately teased Bu Han Lu, suggesting that he and Duan Chi could spend the night out, which made Lin Qian Yu extremely jealous. As a result, Lin Qian Yu ran straight to the entrance of the residential area to wait for Bu Han Lu to come home.
On his way out, Bu Han Lu passed by a store that sold airplane models. However, the model cost 800 yuan, which made Bu Han Lu hesitate. When Bu Han Lu returned home and saw Lin Qian Yu waiting at the door, he was surprised. Lin Qian Yu lied and claimed that he had come to collect something from Liu Yi Xian, so as not to arouse suspicion from Bu Han Lu.
In the following days, Fang Da Wu and the others used the refrigerator at the store to exchange gifts with the girls they liked, while Lin Qian Yu and Bu Han Lu waited in disappointment. One day, when Lin Qian Yu went to buy a guitar, he happened to come across Bu Han Lu and Duan Chi together, so he curiously followed them.
Bu Han Lu went to the store again to look at the airplane model, and Duan Chi wanted to buy it for him, but Bu Han Lu refused. Bu Han Lu slowly saved money and thought about it at home. He decided to use the money left by his sister to buy the airplane model first and then make up the rest of the money later.
After Bu Han Lu left, Lin Qian Yu went to the store and looked at the model. He was certain that it was the one Bu Han Lu liked, so he used the money he had prepared to buy the guitar and bought an airplane model for Bu Han Lu. After purchasing the model, Lin Qian Yu put it in the refrigerator and attached a label to the outside of the box.
