Episode 5 recap: Appeared? The legendary "UFO."
While everyone was happily celebrating Bu Han Lu's birthday, a foreign flying object suddenly appeared in the sky, resembling the legendary "UFO." Bu Han Lu believed it was the T-star in the constellation of Cetus. She thought her sister had come to see her, so she immediately checked her pager and found her sister's birthday wishes had also arrived. This made her eager to go and see the object.
The unidentified flying object landed on Tingshan. Just as Bu Han Lu and the others were about to go there, they were spotted by the headmaster. The headmaster brought the group of seven to the office and asked them to explain the reason for being on the rooftop. No one dared to mention the matter of slacking off, so they had to talk about the unidentified flying object instead. The headmaster didn't believe a word of what the group said, but Bu Han Lu insisted that there was no UFO and revealed everything they had been doing on the rooftop.
Upon learning about the group's actions of skipping evening self-study, the headmaster immediately wanted to call their parents. Lin Qian Yu didn't want to disturb her grandparents, so she voluntarily proposed to write a 3,000-word self-reflection. The headmaster insisted on making the call but agreed to Lin Qian Yu's request to write the self-reflection and asked them to come to the school on Saturday to do so.
The parents were all summoned to the school for a lecture and then took their respective students home. When Bu Tian arrived, he didn't say a word. On the way back, Bu Han Lu asked Bu Tian why he didn't scold her like the other parents, leaving Bu Tian unsure how to answer.
Bu Tian realized that their father-daughter relationship was really bad, so he went online to find a solution on how to improve their bond. Bu Han Lu believed that the unidentified object might be related to her sister, so she borrowed some outdoor equipment from Liu Yi Xian and prepared to go to Tingshan. The next day, Bu Tian waited downstairs early in the morning to accompany Bu Han Lu to school. Bu Han Lu couldn't refuse and had to go to school with Bu Tian.
After arriving at the school, Bu Han Lu went to the bus station again, while Liu Yi Xian guessed her intention and brought the outdoor equipment to the station to find Bu Han Lu. Fang Da Wu, who was attending a different school, couldn't find Bu Han Lu and realized that they must have gone to Tingshan, so he hurriedly rushed there as well.
Lin Qian Yu and their group went to the school to write their self-reflections, complaining that Bu Han Lu had betrayed them. They were surprised to see Fang Da Wu running out of the school. After discussing it, they thought that one possible reason why Fang Da Wu and his group didn't go to school was that they wanted to go to Tingshan to find the UFO themselves. So they decided to follow them and see what was happening. Even if there was no UFO, they could treat it as a sightseeing trip.
Bu Han Lu and the other three boarded the bus, while Lin Qian Yu's group stopped the bus and managed to catch the same one. However, as soon as they got on the bus, they were too busy showing off and Liu Yang accidentally knelt in front of Liu Yi Xian and got hit on the head.
Halfway through the bus ride, the bus suddenly broke down and couldn't continue. Bu Han Lu and the other seven were left behind and had to find another vehicle to go to Tingshan. However, finding another vehicle proved to be difficult, which made Bu Han Lu impatient. Seeing Bu Han Lu's impatience, Lin Qian Yu took out some money and hailed a car by the roadside. They happened to encounter "Scrambled Eggs with Spring Onions," who was preparing to go to Tingshan for an interview. They kindly stopped their car and gave them a ride.
After arriving in Tingshan, "Scrambled Eggs with Spring Onions" went into the village for interviews, hoping to capture some strange things on film, while Bu Han Lu's group went to a restaurant for a meal. After the restaurant closed, Fang Da Wu borrowed the kitchen and ingredients from the owner and started cooking. While waiting for Fang Da Wu to cook, Liu Yi Xian noticed the Mayday decorations hanging on Meng Hui Yuan's backpack and called her over to join their table.
Liu Yi Xian was very interested in Mayday, so they had more topics to talk about with Meng Hui Yuan. In the end, they made plans to go treasure hunting together when they had free time. Meng Hui Yuan stayed behind, and Lin Qian Yu felt a bit left out. Feeling neglected, they decided to take matters into their own hands and cooked several pots of instant noodles. However, unexpectedly, Fang Da Wu prepared a table full of delicious dishes, which made them salivate.
Just as Liu Yang and Chen Xiang were considering changing sides, Fang Da Wu brought a bowl of braised pork. Lin Qian Yu initially refused to eat it, but Liu Yang and the others managed to feed them a piece. They discovered that the braised pork was incredibly delicious, and their attitude quickly changed. They eagerly joined in for the meal and finished all the dishes on the table.
After the meal, Lin Qian Yu's group headed up the mountain. At the village entrance, they saw "Scrambled Eggs with Spring Onions" conducting interviews. Curious, they followed along. Meanwhile, Bu Han Lu impatiently went up the mountain. The villagers talked about various strange things, and suddenly someone mentioned that a child had gone missing and might have gone up the mountain to find the UFO. Liu Yang chimed in with a few words, and only then did they realize that Bu Han Lu was missing.
