Episode 14 recap: Han Mu, heavily injured, regained consciousness.
Xuanli, who sneaked down the mountain, encountered Nan Hao and others. At first, Xuanli was happy, but upon not seeing Han Mu, she realized something. Her smile froze on her face. Senior Brother, enduring his sorrow, told Xuanli that Han Mu stayed behind to hold off the enemy in order to save them. Xuanli was filled with immense grief and blamed them for letting Han Mu face the demon clan, essentially sending him to his death. Nan Hao interrupted her and proposed that they all go back up the mountain and discuss the situation. Xuanli was unwilling and insisted on going to find Han Mu. Concerned, Senior Sister followed her.
The Demon Lord didn't want to kill Han Mu directly; instead, he chose to torment him by forcing him to embrace the demonic path. Han Mu refused to succumb to the darkness and used the Pitian Sword to end his own life, plunging down a cliff. Xuanli happened to witness this scene as she arrived. She fell into despair. Senior Sister approached from behind and took Xuanli away, ensuring they wouldn't be discovered by the Demon Lord. In the imperial residence, Emperor Mo Bing forcefully awakened.
Xuanli refused to believe that Han Mu was dead and wanted to find him. Senior Sister tried to stop Xuanli but ended up being tied to a tree by her. At the bottom of Yunhai Cliff, with only a breath of life left, Han Mu regained consciousness. Mo Bing approached Han Mu and retrieved the Pitian Sword, revealing the truth of what happened in the past. Mo Bing had battled against Jiu Chen, and in order to seal him, he had exhausted all his cultivation and fell into a deep sleep. To prevent Jiu Chen from returning, he separated a strand of his divine soul and sent it to the Ninth Heaven for cultivation. That strand was Han Mu, and now he understood everything.
