Episode 16 recap: Xuanli learned the truth about Han Mu.
Mobiang told Xuanli that he was not Han Mu but Emperor Mobiang. Xuanli was unwilling to believe it and thought that Han Mu's memories were damaged. Mobiang coldly shattered Xuanli's illusions and even broke the hairpin that Han Mu had given her before. However, Xuanli still didn't believe it and wanted to help Mobiang regain his lost memories. But Mobiang completely ignored her. Xuanli decided to cook a meal for Mobiang. However, Mobiang coldly said that he didn't need her to do these unnecessary things. Xuanli ignored him and continued to cook. After finishing, Xuanli brought the food to Mobiang, intending to feed him. But Mobiang waved his hand and used magic to teleport Xuanli outside the house. Xuanli returned on her own and stubbornly said that Mobiang wouldn't eat a bite, but she wouldn't give up. Mobiang still refused to eat.

In the evening, Xuanli released many sky lanterns and invited Mobiang to see the wishes she had written. She also brought the hairpin to Mobiang, hoping to trigger his memories. However, Mobiang coldly pushed her hand away, causing the hairpin to fall and shatter on the ground. Mobiang revealed all the truths from the past to Xuanli, leaving her deeply saddened.
