Episode 9 recap: Luofeng and Hanmu engaged in a formal fight.
After Qingxue suggested splitting up to search for members of the demon clan, she voluntarily expressed her desire to be in the same group as Xuanli. At first, Hanmu disagreed, but Xuanli agreed to it, so Hanmu had to compromise and instructed Xuanli to contact him promptly using a spiritual symbol if anything happened. After they separated, Qingxue forcefully handed something to Xuanli and activated a spell, causing Xuanli to faint. Then Qingxue shouted loudly, claiming that Xuanli had been possessed by demons, attracting everyone's attention. Qingxue planned to take advantage of the situation and kill Xuanli directly, but to her surprise, the Xuanli on the ground disappeared, and the real Xuanli emerged, mocking Qingxue for being the one who had actually been possessed.
Angry and frustrated, Qingxue drew her sword directly. Hanmu intervened and rescued Qingxue from falling into madness. The commotion caught everyone's attention, and they rescued a young girl who had survived in one of the rooms. The girl said that the monsters came to the village and killed everyone. Xuanli asked the girl if she remembered the appearance of the demon clan, and the girl confirmed it was the same person. Hanmu speculated that the demon clan member must have come for them, setting up so many traps along their path. Upon hearing this, Luofeng appeared directly, and a battle broke out between the two sides. However, Hanmu was secretly attacked by the girl who had already been possessed and fell to the ground.
Xuanli recalled the moments spent with Hanmu and, in an emotionally charged state, triggered the power of the Demon Sovereign bloodline within him, completely suppressing Luofeng. Luofeng was astonished to feel the power of the primal demonic energy within Xuanli.
