Episode 4 recap: Lv Dong Bin wants to stay and help.
Because there was a previous dispute between Bai Xue Hua and Du Juan, the police here also came to question Bai Xue Hua, suspecting that he might be involved in the matter. Chen Mu Kun said it was impossible because Bai Xue Hua didn't go out at all yesterday. The police wondered if the ghost was manipulating Bai Xue Hua, but Chen Mu Kun said it wasn't possible because he had already suppressed the evil spirit.
Other police officers started suspecting Bai Xue Hua and said that according to regulations, he should be taken back for further investigation. Bai Xue Hua agreed to go with them. There is a wanted criminal named Gu Wen Xiang here, and Chen Mu Kun investigated and found that he was related to Du Juan. Gu Wen Xiang tied up Chen Mu Kun and threw him into a well.
Lv Dong Bin met He Xian Gu here. He Xian Gu showed Jin Ye what happened before. When Chen Mu Kun was bullied as a child, they prayed for someone to appear and help them. Chen Mu Kun's life improved, and he even got admitted to the police academy, which made his grandfather very happy.

Lv Dong Bin felt that Chen Mu Kun was deceiving people by changing concepts, but Chen Mu Kun didn't think he was doing anything wrong. Jin Ye discovered that his turtle had died and was very angry. He came to Chen Mu Kun and wanted him to perform a ritual to bring his turtle back.
