Episode 13 recap: Wei Xu's true identity was revealed.
When Wei Xu returned home, she didn't expect to find Qingyi Bai waiting at the door. Qingyi Bai embraced Wei Xu directly, and Wei Xu looked at Qingyi Bai's injuries with great concern. She then went back and helped bandage his wounds. Seeing Qingyi Bai in such a state, Wei Xu felt a great deal of heartache. However, regardless of the circumstances, Qingyi Bai still wanted to be with Wei Xu. But Wei Xu was worried that if Bai's father found out about their relationship, it could be too much for his heart to bear, so she had to make him wait a little longer.
Inside, Qingyi Bai was becoming impatient, but Wei Xu kept telling him that he was the only one in her heart. Little did they know that their conversation had been overheard by Qu Yu, who now knew about their relationship. Qu Yu was furious upon hearing this, and Wei Xu even mentioned that they should maintain their relationship. When she returned home, Wei Xu took the initiative to hand in her resignation letter to Bai's father. For Qingyi Bai's sake, she was willing to give up everything she had and even renounce her position as Bai's father's adopted daughter. She just wanted to be with Qingyi Bai.
However, when her father found out, he disagreed and even forbade Wei Xu from being with Qingyi Bai. He went as far as to say that they could only be together if he died. Wei Xu still couldn't believe it. Later, it was revealed that the shocking secret was that Wei Xu was actually his biological daughter. He had entrusted her to the Xu family for upbringing, and now he used her adopted status as a reason to bring her back.
Wei Xu didn't expect such an outcome, and she was in a bad mood, so she drank a lot of alcohol. At that moment, Qu Yu came over, and in her drunken state, Wei Xu mistook him for Qingyi Bai and even embraced him. Meanwhile, Qingyi Bai was searching everywhere for Wei Xu but had no idea where she was. Qu Yu took Wei Xu back with him, and in her dazed state, she kept calling out Qingyi Bai's name. Qu Yu received a phone call, but as soon as he heard Qingyi Bai's voice, he hung up.
