Episode 1 recap: Mo Lin Lang traveled back in time to ancient times.

Mo Lin Lang (played by Wang Qian Guo), a modern female forensic doctor, unintentionally reincarnates into ancient times. She is mistaken for a murderer by the guards and captured. On her way, she encounters He Yi Jing (played by Wu Ji Feng) and the guard Fu Feng. Mo Lin Lang learns that the master of this place is the prince, so she quickly holds onto He Yi Jing's leg, but He Yi Jing walks away with annoyance.

In order to prove her innocence, Mo Lin Lang wants to perform an autopsy. Fu Feng initially doesn't believe that Mo Lin Lang is capable of conducting autopsies and thinks she is just looking for an excuse to escape. At that moment, someone claims to have discovered Mo Lin Lang earlier and imprisoned her for two days, stating that Mo Lin Lang is not a suspect in the case.

Upon seeing someone vouching for her, Mo Lin Lang feels that there is no need to worry and wants to leave. However, Fu Feng, knowing that Mo Lin Lang possesses forensic skills, uses the incident of Mo Lin Lang clashing with the prince as an excuse to demand that she find the real culprit within two days. Mo Lin Lang recalls being captured immediately after arriving in this time period and realizes that, as a modern person, she will not back down from this situation.

While searching the crime scene, Mo Lin Lang discovers that forensic practices in this era differ from modern times. She finds red marks on the bedsheet and a box of red rouge nearby. This strikes Mo Lin Lang as peculiar, as there must be some connection that she hasn't yet discovered.
