Episode 17 recap: Mo Lin Lang is angry.
He Yi Jing brought Mo Lin Lang to the villa where his late mother used to live. He Yi Jing was touched by the surroundings and recalled the time when his mother was alive, which made him feel a bit sad. Although the scenery here is the same as twenty years ago, he still has some resistance in his heart to come here.
Mo Lin Lang noticed that He Yi Jing was upset and comforted him, telling him to look forward. When Mo Lin Lang mentioned wanting to go to a higher place, He Yi Jing immediately picked up Mo Lin Lang. Mo Lin Lang felt that He Yi Jing was becoming more and more playful.

When Mo Lin Lang opened the box, they found it strange and realized that there was no key. He Yi Jing thought for a moment and asked Mo Lin Lang for the dagger to open the box.
He Yi Jing found an item inside the box, along with a peculiar letter. After reading the letter, he realized it was left by his mother, who instructed him not to seek revenge. He Yi Jing also found Mo Lin Lang's nameplate among his mother's belongings, which made him suddenly suspicious of something.
Mo Lin Lang is angry that He Yi Jing suspects them of being the culprit. He Yi Jing tries to explain that he just wanted to understand more, and perhaps he didn't really suspect Mo Lin Lang. However, Mo Lin Lang angrily runs out and is knocked unconscious by someone. Fu Feng informs He Yi Jing that the masked person has escaped.
