Episode 6 recap: The emperor is cheering for Mo Lin Lang.

Mo Lin Lang felt nervous when he saw the emperor and became anxious upon hearing the emperor's claim that he was proficient in the art of forensic investigation. Mo Lin Lang quickly downplayed his skills, stating that he only had a superficial understanding of the subject. The emperor thought Mo Lin Lang was being modest, as someone who was brought by He Yi Jing, a woman who must have genuine abilities. The emperor believed that Mo Lin Lang's expertise in mind-reading surpassed his forensic investigation skills.

Continuing the conversation, the emperor mentioned that He Yi Jing had reached the age for marriage, implying that it was time to find a suitable candidate for the position of a legitimate consort for the prince. Mo Lin Lang was confused, while He Yi Jing promptly declined the emperor's suggestion and hurriedly left. Before departing, the emperor encouraged Mo Lin Lang to work harder. Mo Lin Lang forced a smile and informed He Yi Jing that he had a leg cramp.

He Yi Jing didn't respond and carried Mo Lin Lang away, much to the emperor's satisfaction. Just when the atmosphere seemed pleasant, He Yi Jing disappointedly threw Mo Lin Lang on the ground, causing Mo Lin Lang to lose all favorable impressions of her.

Fu Feng informed He Yi Jing that the person had awakened. He Yi Jing couldn't understand why Liu Zi Yuan would be at the residence of the third prince when he was supposed to be with the crown prince. He Yi Jing speculated that Liu Zi Yuan must have developed feelings for someone other than the crown prince. Mo Lin Lang couldn't comprehend the connection between these events and the case they were currently investigating. He Yi Jing believed that there must be some secret they were unaware of.

He Yi Jing decided that they should enter the palace to investigate. Mo Lin Lang requested tools as he intended to ask He Yi Jing to help him create a set. He Yi Jing found the blueprints brought by Mo Lin Lang intriguing.
