Episode 13 recap: Yin Moting was appointed as the crown prince.
In order to silence the rumors, Chen Xi decided to present three questions in front of the court to select a husband for herself between the two princes. The first question was: What is the most important thing in Dasheng Kingdom? Yin Moxuan confidently gave the answer, stating that the most important thing in Dasheng Kingdom is the Kunlun Mountains. However, Yin Moting's answer was "the hearts of the people!" The ministers nodded and praised his answer.
Chen Xi then presented the second question: What is the most important thing in the court? Yin Moxuan stepped forward and took the imperial seal, saying that there is nothing more important than it. On the other hand, Yin Moting expressed his thoughts, saying that in the court, under the heavens, nothing is more important than the emperor. The emperor felt pleased upon hearing this, and the ministers agreed that Yin Moting's answer was correct.
The third question was for Chen Xi to hide, and whichever prince found her first would be considered the winner. Yin Moting went to the place where he would rescue Chen Xi, and indeed, he found her there. Together, they released sky lanterns and wrote the poem: "May we gain the heart of one another and never be apart." Yin Moting and Chen Xi embraced each other tightly, while fireworks sparkled in the sky. Yin Moting, with his wisdom, elegance, and beauty, was blessed by fate and proven worthy to be the crown prince.
As his wish was fulfilled, he was appointed as the crown prince by the emperor, taking his rightful place in the Eastern Palace, carrying the responsibility of ruling for ten thousand years and being the heart of the four seas. Everyone congratulated him, except for Yin Moxuan, who felt deeply resentful. Chen Xi also congratulated Yin Moting and he held her hand, happily saying "let's celebrate together," before taking her home.
