Episode 22 recap: Mo Chenyuan, the immortal lord, returns to his position.
After Mo Chenyuan left, Feng Ruoyao gave birth to their daughter, Mo Xiaofeng, and lived alone with her in the realm of Qingxu. However, Feng Ruoyao never gave up on nurturing the Red Flame Feather and waited for it to grow up and release the seal of Mo Chenyuan's Xuanyuan Button. She watched as it guarded the fairy tree for three hundred years. Her master purposely advised her to give up and focus on raising her daughter, as she already had a child. He suggested that she groom her daughter to become the next immortal lord.
However, Feng Ruoyao insisted that she would never give up on providing energy for the Red Flame Feather. One day, Ying Zhao, the former guard of Mo Chenyuan, suddenly came to find Feng Ruoyao and informed her that the position of the immortal lord in the realm of Qingxu had been vacant for three hundred years, and it was time for someone to take up the position. Feng Ruoyao replied that Xiaofeng was still young, only three hundred years old. Ying Zhao suggested that Xiaofeng could become the next immortal lord. Upon hearing that someone wanted to take Mo Chenyuan's position as the immortal lord, Feng Ruoyao felt displeased. It seemed that the realm of Qingxu was in a hurry.
However, she stated that as long as it wasn't Mo Haoli, she didn't care who succeeded. Ying Zhao felt that he had expressed himself clearly and didn't understand why Feng Ruoyao interpreted it that way.
