Episode 3 recap: Zhang Yi Meng's so-called time travel turned out to be acting.

After hearing Jing Cheng's words, Zhang Yi Meng was shocked. When she left, in a state of panic, she accidentally dropped her necklace on the ground. Jing Cheng heard the noise and hurried over to check. When he saw the necklace on the ground, he recognized it as Zhang Yi Meng's. He guessed that Zhang Yi Meng had eavesdropped on their conversation and his mind started racing.

Jing Cheng quickly contacted the crew and informed them of this unexpected situation. It turned out that Zhang Yi Meng's "time travel" was just a treatment plan devised by her doctor. She always suspected herself of being a princess, and her attending physician, Dr. Han, came up with this idea. The so-called Jing Cheng was a student of Dr. Han, which is why Zhang Yi Meng found him familiar.

Jing Cheng didn't know how much Zhang Yi Meng had heard, so he reluctantly went to meet her. As soon as he entered Zhang Yi Meng's room, she grabbed a dagger and lunged at him. After subduing Zhang Yi Meng, Jing Cheng asked her what she meant. Through their conversation, Jing Cheng learned that Zhang Yi Meng only heard about the assassination of the Third Prince, which wouldn't affect the development of their storyline. So, they could continue with their performance.

Jing Cheng decided to go along with the misunderstanding and told Zhang Yi Meng that he couldn't assassinate the Third Prince. He suggested that she would understand everything once she returned to the palace. When Zhang Yi Meng heard Jing Cheng mention returning to the palace, her mood improved significantly. However, she was conflicted about whether or not to expose Jing Cheng after returning.
