Episode 7 recap: Jiang Jie tried to prove Li Nai's innocence.
After the poisoning incident, the health department ordered Chun Cheng to cease operations for rectification. Someone online spread a message claiming that the quality of the ham bought by Li Nai was problematic. People were discussing it, and Jiang Jie approached them, telling them that they absolutely couldn't spread false information, especially when facing the media. Anyone who dared to spread misinformation would bear the consequences.
Li Nai was contemplating whether there was indeed something wrong with the ham when several reporters suddenly surrounded her. They asked if she had bought subpar ingredients and profited from kickbacks, and some even asked if she had used such methods when running her restaurant, leading to the closure of Lao Xue's Black Fish Noodle House. Li Nai was at a loss for words when Jiang Jie rushed over, draped a piece of clothing over her shoulders, pulled her away from the scene, and hailed a taxi for her, instructing her to go home and rest for two days. Li Nai told Jiang Jie that there was nothing wrong with the ham she purchased, and Jiang Jie reassured her that he would investigate the matter thoroughly.
Just as Li Nai arrived home, Cui Can came to visit. When Cui Can was at Li Nai's house a few days ago, he noticed a rusty kitchen knife and took it away as if it were a treasure.
