Tang Shao Yi reminds her to be cautious and warns her about the possibility of deception.
Xu Jing tells Shang Yi Zhi that the succession to the throne requires bloodline, and besides, Qi Yu is still alive. Shang Yi Zhi asks Mu Bai for his opinion, and Mu Bai tells him that he only follows his orders. Zhong Yong Hou has been demanding to see Qi Yu outside the door, but Ah Xing tells him to go back for now because Qi Yu cannot see him at the moment.
Zhong Yong Hou insists on seeing Qi Yu outside the door. Qi Yu tells him that he's still young and cannot fulfill his expectations. Qi Yu takes the fish soup in front of him and gives it to Zhong Yong Hou to eat. Zhong Yong Hou understands Qi Yu's intentions and tells Ah Xing that he won't bother Qi Yu anymore in the future. However, as he turns and takes a few steps, he collapses and dies. Zhong Yong Hou points at Qi Yu, and Ah Xing realizes the situation and hurries to check on him.
Madam Lin feels that Qi Yu almost ate the fish soup, and she becomes afraid. She asks Prime Minister Lin about Lin Ze Rou's pregnancy and suggests that she should come back to stay for a few days. Prime Minister Lin believes that the queen cannot leave the palace, and Qi Yu is too clever.
Prime Minister Lin sees Qi Yu as a big trouble. The unborn child in Lin Ze Rou's belly, whose gender is unknown, now appears to be a threat because of Qi Yu. Prime Minister Lin asks Madam Lin for a favor, and she asks what it is. Prime Minister Lin requests her to visit Lin Ze Rou in the palace.
Mu Bai asks Xu Jing if Shang Yi Zhi is really angry this time, and Xu Jing tells him that if he is truly angry, he won't spare the two of them. Madam Lin enters the palace and visits Lin Ze Rou, instructing Lin Ze Rou's maid to bring some food for Qi Yu.
Lin Ze Rou asks why she is sending food to him, and Madam Lin tells her that the last time Qi Yu was beaten severely, she needs to be close to him when necessary. Madam Lin tells her that they will be relatives, so she shouldn't create enmity with Qi Yu, as it won't be good for her future child. Qi Yu and Ah Xing have been kidnapped, and Zhang Da Jian quickly goes to report to the Emperor that Prince Qi Yu is missing.
The Emperor asks him who has entered Prince Qi Yu's palace today, and Zhang Da Jian tells him that only Madam Lin has visited Qi Yu.
The emperor is preparing to visit the Lin Mansion. Mu Bai comes to see Madam Lin. Madam Lin looks at Mu Bai and says that her son has become thin, asking if he has been suffering outside. Madam Lin tells him to go home and have a meal today. Mu Bai tells her that he came today to ask her something. He asks Madam Lin why she used two carriages when entering the palace today. Madam Lin tells him that Lin Ze Rou is pregnant, and she went to bring her food. Madam Lin asks Mu Bai why he is asking about this. Mu Bai tells her that it's fine to bring things in but it's not good to bring things out.
A Mai learns that Qi Yu is in trouble. Tang Shao Yi asks her if it could be a deception. A Mai tells him that they will know if it's a deception once they go and see. Tang Shao Yi prepares to gather some comrades in the camp. A Mai stops him and tells him that if it's true, having too many people will alert the enemy. They decide to go and check the situation first.
Just as a black-clad assassin is about to kill Qi Yu and Ah Xing, A Mai and Tang Shao Yi arrive in time. They fight against the assassin, and eventually, the assassin's mask falls off. A Mai and Tang Shao Yi are shocked to see that the person is Mu Bai.
They are very surprised to see Mu Bai. Mu Bai realizes that he has been exposed and quickly leaves. A Mai and Tang Shao Yi rush to check on Qi Yu and Ah Xing, but they discover that the two of them are actually impostors. The real Qi Yu and Ah Xing are being held captive elsewhere. A Mai tells Tang Shao Yi that Mu Bai still showed mercy to her subordinates. Tang Shao Yi tells her not to worry about this matter.
A Mai tells him that she cannot ignore it. If it were any other matter, it would be fine, but this concerns Qi Yu, and she has to take action. Tang Shao Yi tells A Mai that he has already sent someone to investigate quietly. A Mai tells him not to investigate secretly but to conduct a thorough investigation openly. This way, they won't dare to harm Qi Yu.
A Mai goes to ask Shang Yi Zhi if he ordered Mu Bai to assassinate Qi Yu. Shang Yi Zhi tells her that he didn't give any orders to Mu Bai. A Mai successfully locates Qi Yu based on information from others. She believes that Qi Yu will be safest by her side.
