Episode 4 recap: Kawakawa returned to the Li residence.
Xie Quan Jia thought about Kawakawa's motive for pretending to be a ghost and the sincere words he spoke. She wasn't angry and actually felt quite pleased. Princess Ren Shu came to find Xie Quan Jia, and Xie Quan Jia mistook her for Kawakawa. She said she wouldn't forgive him, but when Ren Shu started speaking, Xie Quan Jia realized she had mistaken the person. To ease Xie Quan Jia's stress, Ren Shu gave her the gem from the compass.
Ren Shu gathered everyone and proposed collecting money monthly to repay the debt, but Fan Zhong Ju and Liu Lang had no money. Guo Dong Li later settled the expenses with Kawakawa, revealing the cost of the banquet and the cost of their performance. Kawakawa had nowhere to go at this point, and the more he thought about it, the worse he felt. He had initially hoped to please his parents through this debt collection, but now he found himself unable to compete with a young girl.
Fan Zhong Ju, wearing his work badge, hoped to earn money through tutoring, but he had no reputation and no employers. Fan Zhong Ju wanted to copy Li Tu's signature and sell books with it, but the maidservant opposed the idea. Liu Lang tried performing acrobatics with a brick, but it shattered upon impact. Fan Zhong Ju remembered Li Tu's handwriting at a glance, and the handwriting he copied was so convincing that Xie Quan Jia couldn't tell it was fake. Kawakawa came up with a plan. Kawakawa proposed paying rent to stay at the Li residence. At night, he secretly went to Guo Dong Li's room, and the two discussed their strategy again. This time, Kawakawa suggested that Liu Lang provide the formula for the antidote, creating a reputation for himself and seizing the opportunity to practice medicine for profit.
That night, Liu Lang gave Xie Quan Jia a bag of money. He had been fired from the construction site, and the money was his severance pay. However, none of the imitated handwriting of Li Tu sold.
Fan Zhong Ju was now deeply nostalgic for Kawakawa, after all, he had many clever ideas. Zhuge spoke about the fundamental reason for everyone's failure: Li Tu's imitations needed to have flaws in order to demonstrate the value of the authentic works, and Ren Shu's divination also had to take age into account.

However, Guo Dong Li, who had tasted success, didn't want to stop. To thank Liu Lang for curing his legs, Zhuge gave Xie Quan Jia a gold ingot to repay the loan for the month.
Moved by this kindness, Xie Quan Jia declared Zhuge as her friend and made a promise with a handshake. Kawakawa, seeing that Xie Quan Jia had forgiven him, directly removed his disguise, revealing his true identity. Xie Quan Jia, upon realizing it was Kawakawa, asked him how he dared to deceive them a second time and became very angry. The others also tried to persuade Xie Quan Jia to forgive Kawakawa, and if Kawakawa wanted to earn her forgiveness, he would have to wait until it snowed in June.
At that moment, snowflakes actually started falling from the sky. Xie Quan Jia became ecstatic and walked into the courtyard, only to discover that Guo Dong Li was scattering goose feathers from the rooftop.
