Episode 17 recap: Yin Ruoshui desperately saved the Crown Prince.
When Yin Ruoshui woke up, she saw that the Crown Prince was still unconscious. She exerted all her strength to drag him back, and coincidentally encountered Lin Cangwu's subordinates who were searching for them. They managed to rescue both of them and brought them back to Lin Mansion. The wound on the Crown Prince's chest continued to bleed. Lin Cangwu said that only the Snow Velvet Flower from the Southern Frontier could heal him. Yin Ruoshui offered to go and find it, but Lin Cangwu asked her to stay and watch over the Crown Prince. It was his duty as a loyal subject to go and search for it.
After Lin Cangwu left, Yin Ruoshui stayed by the Crown Prince's side, untying his clothes and keeping guard. The Crown Prince would occasionally wake up, feeling dizzy. He weakly grabbed onto Yin Ruoshui and asked her to go home with him, then he fell unconscious again. The Crown Prince's subordinates came to visit him, and Yin Ruoshui asked about the captives. The subordinates replied that the Crown Prince never killed captives because he believed it was cruel and no different from the enemy. When would the cycle of revenge end? The hatred should stop there.
Upon hearing this, Yin Ruoshui fell into contemplation. She looked at the Crown Prince, who remained unconscious, and didn't know which version of him was the real one. Lin Cangwu returned with the Snow Velvet Flower, brewed it into a medicinal soup, and brought it over. Seeing his hands covered in scratches, Yin Ruoshui's heart was filled with mixed emotions. She took the soup and hurriedly fed it to the Crown Prince, but his mouth remained shut. Helpless, Yin Ruoshui had no choice but to use her mouth to feed him the medicine. After witnessing this, Lin Cangwu realized that Yin Ruoshui couldn't let go of the Crown Prince in her heart, so he silently turned and walked away.
