Episode 6 recap: Lin Cangwu wants to send Yin Ruoshui away.
The Crown Prince moved into the Lin family's residence and closely monitored Yin Ruoshui's every move. Whenever Yin Ruoshui went to gather herbs, he would follow her without leaving her side. One rainy day, Yin Ruoshui suddenly lost control of her emotions, her face turning pale. The Crown Prince felt that her expression resembled the person he was looking for. However, upon seeing that Yin Ruoshui had no scar on her neck, the Crown Prince felt a sense of disappointment. When Yin Ruoshui had saved him before, he distinctly remembered a scar on her neck.
It happened on a rainy night during their childhood when Yin Ruoshui was injured by her own father. On that evening, her father first subjected the Empress to domestic violence and then proceeded to physically abuse young Ruoshui. He even threatened her, saying that when she grew up, he would arrange a marriage for her. Since then, Yin Ruoshui had developed a rain-induced stress disorder and would become anxious and fearful whenever there was thunder and rain. The Crown Prince then draped his cloak over her and ordered everyone to return to the Lin residence.
Yin Ruoshui removed the fake skin covering the scar on her neck, leaving Lin Cangwu in awe of her careful consideration. However, Yin Ruoshui expressed her concerns, stating that Yuwen Sheng is a suspicious person who wouldn't overlook any suspicious details. If they continued to stay together, he would eventually discover the truth. Lin Cangwu made the decision to send Yin Ruoshui away, regardless of the risks involved.
The Crown Prince's subordinates captured a local resident and showed him a portrait of Qin Ruoyao, asking for identification. The person mentioned that there was a girl from the Qin family who went missing during her childhood, but he couldn't clearly identify her. The Crown Prince coldly drew his sword, pressuring the person to tell the truth. The frightened individual trembled on the ground in fear.
