Episode 7 recap: Yin Ruoshui couldn't bear to let Lin Cangwu fall into danger.
Yin Ruoshui was worried that Prince Taizi would harm Lin Cangwu after she left, but Lin Cangwu still decided to send her away and stay behind to deal with Prince Taizi. Lin Cangwu and Yin Ruoshui were about to leave to take a boat when Prince Taizi blocked their path. Lin Cangwu and Yin Ruoshui made an excuse to go gather herbs, but Prince Taizi insisted on going together. Miss Lin timely intervened and helped stop Prince Taizi.
Lin Cangwu sent Yin Ruoshui onto a small boat and urged her to be careful. Yin Ruoshui was grateful to Lin Cangwu and her family for their help. However, as soon as she boarded the boat, she heard the voice of Prince Taizi. It turned out that Prince Taizi had directly chased after Lin Cangwu. Miss Lin Shunqin hurriedly explained to Prince Taizi that her younger sister had returned to town to visit their ailing mother and would return soon.
Prince Taizi refused to believe it and drew his sword directly at Lin Cangwu, accusing him of disloyalty to the Southern Frontier Nation and harboring people from the Yin Kingdom. Lin Cangwu fearlessly defended himself, stating that he was a soldier and could not harm unarmed civilians. Prince Taizi didn't listen and ended up slashing Lin Cangwu's waist with his sword. Yin Ruoshui arrived just in time, bringing a basket of small fish and shrimp, and informed them that their mother's condition was no longer critical. She had purposely brought their family's specialties back to the Lin family.
Prince Taizi was filled with doubts but couldn't find any loopholes for the time being, so he reluctantly returned with Lin Cangwu by his side. However, Lin Shunqin, who was walking behind Yin Ruoshui, suddenly changed her expression. She fiercely told Yin Ruoshui that she shouldn't think that she wouldn't recognize her after putting on makeup and warned her not to harm Cangwu in any way. It turned out that Lin Shunqin mistook Yin Ruoshui for Lin Cangwu's deceased ex-wife, Lengshui. After saying that, Lin Shunqin pushed Yin Ruoshui directly into the river.
