1. The male and female leads are locked in a short drama. Li Muchen specializes in revenge and rebirth, while Deng Kai specializes in being cold-hearted but warm inside.
2. The drama feels like a version of "Eastern Palace," with the female lead being even more pitiful.
3. It's a tortured love story between the male and female leads, with the male supporting character acting as a substitute for the female lead. The plot doesn't hold up to scrutiny, but it's quite captivating.
4. I really like the original female lead's appearance. It just goes to show that you can't pick up random men on the street in movies and TV dramas~

Illogical story progression, a pile-up of thrilling "highlight scenes," catering to the curiosity of viewers. It's something the penguins use to grab attention. (The visuals are good, much better than those two recent overly airbrushed fantasy dramas.)

You can watch the Korean drama "Love You When I'm Sad," as its plot is surprisingly similar. It's a fashion drama where a wealthy CEO abuses his wife. She escapes and encounters a plastic surgeon who gives her a face transplant to look like the CEO's wife. The CEO tracks her down.
The CEO corresponds to the crown prince, and the wife corresponds to the crown princess. The plastic surgeon corresponds to the general. The face of the female protagonist after plastic surgery corresponds to the deceased general's wife.
Additionally, there are small details in the drama, like the scarf around the doctor's wife's neck, which corresponds to the injury on the female protagonist's neck. To avoid being recognized by the crown prince, they probably use skin patches to conceal the wound!

This extremely cheesy ancient romance storyline had me laughing out loud! It's already 2024, and I still find myself pausing for these over-the-top and nonsensical plot twists????.... But I have to admit, the visuals are stunningly beautiful. I recommend adding your own background music to enhance the experience, treating it like an extended music video???? By the way, doesn't the male lead resemble Wang Heti?

Miss Tang Rou looks so suitable in this ancient costume style that doesn't reveal the ears! Her small face and delicate little nose are exquisite! However, it seems like she lacks conviction in her acting. Whenever there's no close-up shot, she stands there like a wooden stake, and there's room for improvement in her walking posture. The male lead's character doesn't require much acting skill either, as long as he looks pleasant. The plot is quite cheesy, but who needs to use their brain when watching short dramas? The only thing that really annoys me is that the second male lead is everywhere like a Steve! After more than ten episodes, whenever the male and female leads have a scene together, the second male lead suddenly pops up! The three of you should just be together already!

Li Muchen's looks are still on point, but compared to her previous role in the charming drama "Provocation," this storyline is lacking one "Provocation." There are many logical inconsistencies, plenty of characters behaving unintelligently, and flawed character personalities. I would give it one star and not recommend it.

Leaving aside everything else, the visuals, color palette, cinematography, and production of this drama are truly excellent! I especially liked the original female lead in the white dress, she had a star-like face, stunningly beautiful with a sense of acting that didn't feel like acting. When I saw her on the cover, I immediately clicked to start watching the drama, but unfortunately, she was replaced later on. If this sister can see my comment, you are truly beautiful. You have a natural beauty, without any of the stiffness often seen in online short dramas. The clips you filmed give me a sense of anticipation for something good.
As for the drama itself, from an aesthetic standpoint, it is really great. The filming techniques are innovative and not cliché at all. I have watched many domestic period dramas, and I even feel that this one surpasses them. This short drama can be considered practice, and the next time, if you choose a script with more depth, it will be even more perfect. However, personally speaking, I only watched a few scenes with the white-dressed female lead.
I looked up the name of the Miss "dy," and her name is Cui Yiliang. Keep up the great acting, you're truly outstanding. I hope you can enter the entertainment industry for real in the future.

The logic is flawed, the plot is melodramatic, and the protagonist's personality is somewhat frustrating. The storyline is a bit nonsensical, and the portrayal of a tortured romance is quite chauvinistic.
But it saved me from my own rose-tinted fantasies! I mindlessly got hooked! Both the male and female leads have good looks.

Does the plot have to be so illogical? Director and screenwriter, are the male lead and female lead supposed to be a joke? In the beginning, the male lead secretly cultivated his power, pretending to love the female lead by hurting her. Even after the female lead changed her face, she didn't let him go and suddenly transformed into a gentle and caring image. She disregarded everything to prove her love, and all the dangers became insignificant as she protected the female lead. How amazing! And saying "I used the wrong method" while rolling her eyes. The female lead is the same. In the beginning, she was terrified and heartbroken, but after a few episodes, she returned to the palace and forgot everything. She understood and empathized with the male lead, but why did she act so impulsively in her love? The nightmare scene felt overly dramatic and forced. Watching the preview, it seems that in the last two episodes, the two of them become brave as bulls, willing to risk their lives for love. It would be satisfying if they both die together, a big happy ending!
