Episode 11 recap: Jin Ying Jie dressed as a man and applied for the position of a male secretary.
In the evening, Jin Ying Jie had dinner with their parents. Jin Ying Jie's parents were concerned about the interview, but Jin Ying Jie reassured them that everything was ready and asked them not to worry. Jin Ying Jie also mentioned that they had made sufficient preparations and were prepared to make a significant change, hoping that their parents wouldn't be scared! After coming out from Yan Kuren, Wang De Cai saw a clothing store for sale and went in to inquire about the revenue before discussing the price of acquisition.
In the evening, Jin Ying Jie studied and looked through the advertisement for a secretary position at Hao Yun Lai. They remembered hearing a customer say that they had to hire a male secretary. Jin Ying Jie took out the men's clothing and a wig they prepared and looked at themselves in the mirror for a while. The next day, Jin Ying Jie happily went out, first removing the nail polish they had done themselves and then going to the hair salon to cut their hair short. Although reluctant, even the hairdresser advised them to think it over. In the end, the hairdresser couldn't bring themselves to do it, so Jin Ying Jie went to find a colleague to cut their hair.
The recruitment process started quickly, and many boys came for the interview. Jin Ying Jie successfully disguised themselves and blended into the recruitment queue. Hao Xin concluded the interview by asking a tricky question: what would the secretary do if they fell in love with the boss. Jin Ying Jie gave a comprehensive answer, considering whether the boss was single or not. Hao Yun Lai, listening through the monitoring, marveled at Jin Ying Jie's clever response. Hao Xin even quietly told their mother that they asked the question on her behalf! Finally, during the salary negotiation, Jin Ying Jie stated that they didn't have strict requirements and would discuss it further after joining the company. With that, the interviewers asked Jin Ying Jie to wait for the news, and Jin Ying Jie left, asking if the general manager was a man or a woman. Hao Xin straightforwardly answered that it was themselves, leaving Jin Ying Jie stunned before they departed.
Hao Mei also returned to the set to film, but this time, Hao Mei had changed a lot. Even the assistant director, Biaozi, didn't recognize them. Biaozi commented on how Hao Mei had become arrogant and could come and go as they pleased. The conversation became more and more outrageous, even suggesting that Hao Mei had been involved in an inappropriate relationship with the investor. Hao Mei was speechless and left directly for the film set.
Jin Ying Jie had just left the company when they received a call from Hao Xin. Immediately, Jin Ying Jie put on an act. Hao Xin informed Jin Ying Jie that they had been hired, which made Jin Ying Jie very happy. They turned back and went to handle the onboarding information.
Hao Xin and Fu Gui Hua talked about Jin Ying Jie. Hao Xin mentioned that they would save money in the future since the secretary is a guy. They can squeeze together when traveling, which wouldn't be possible with a female secretary. Fu Gui Hua exclaimed that Hao Xin was smart. Then Fu Gui Hua said they wanted to go to the set to see Hao Mei because they hadn't been attentive enough to her lately.
At that moment, Hao Mei had just arrived at the film set. Normally, they should have gone through the scene first, but the director was displeased with Hao Mei and skipped that part, announcing to start filming directly. Unexpectedly, Hao Mei's performance astonished the crew members on set, and the director declared it a perfect take. Unfortunately, the camera wasn't rolling! The director was speechless but had no choice but to start over.
Jin Ying Jie's parents were waiting for Jin Ying Jie to return from the interview. However, when they opened the door after waiting for a long time, they saw a man. Jin Ying Jie got excited and performed a little show for their parents. Tao Fu Rong was startled, but then Jin Ying Jie took off the wig, and they both realized that Jin Ying Jie hadn't actually cut their hair short! Hao Mei found the director and expressed a desire to quit the film set. After all, they didn't want to waste their mother's money. The director kept encouraging Hao Mei and even said that everyone was praising her today. Later, Fu Gui Hua came to visit. Hao Mei saw how much their mother was concerned about them and felt guilty for being so useless. It made them feel uneasy. However, Gui Hua expressed that mothers always want the best for their children and still wanted Hao Mei to be carefree.
