Episode 16 recap: Hao Xin Li Li pretended to be in a relationship.
Hao Xin was working in his room at night when Fu Gui Hua came over. They started discussing Hao Xin's love life again. Hao Xin presented a stance of being a good son who understood his mother's intentions and expressed that his relationship with Li Li Li had progressed further. After Hao Xin's description, Fu Gui Hua realized that they were actually talking about a business deal. Hao Xin admitted that they were indeed discussing business, but Fu Gui Hua was still happy to hear it and even suggested that they get married before dating. However, Hao Xin firmly rejected the idea and said they couldn't tell Aunt Yingchun, or it would scare her off and ruin their progress. Fu Gui Hua promised not to say anything. As soon as Fu Gui Hua left, Hao Xin guessed that if she didn't say anything, she couldn't be his mother.
Sure enough, just a second after Fu Gui Hua left Hao Xin's place, she called Yingchun and immediately spilled the beans about their relationship. Fortunately, Hao Xin had already anticipated this, so he quickly called Li Li Li and asked her not to say anything wrong. He told her to inform Aunt Yingchun that they were dating.

After her mother left, Li Li Li called Hao Xin to explain the situation. She told him that she had already informed her mother about their relationship. Hao Xin wanted to ask more questions, but Li Li Li simply hung up the phone. Fu Gui Hua and Yingchun also called each other, and both believed that their plan had worked. They were delighted that the two children could be together.
Seeing Fu Gui Hua's happy expression during the phone call, Hao Yun Lai knew that something was going on. Fu Gui Hua pretended that she couldn't say anything, but Hao Yun Lai didn't believe her. Li Li Li called Hao Xin and admitted that everything she said earlier was fake. This made Hao Xin angry, and he hung up the phone. Li Li Li called again and claimed that the content of her first call was the truth. They started arguing again over the phone. In the end, Li Li Li hung up the call directly.
At this moment, Jin Ying Jie called. Hao Xin thought it was Li Li Li and started scolding her. Jin Ying Jie explained that she had thought about it and realized that such tactics were not honorable. Hao Xin said he would keep it in mind.
The next day, while cleaning, Jin Ying Jie found that one corner of the horse had been knocked off. Hao Xin came over, thinking that Jin Ying Jie had caused the damage, while Jin Ying Jie thought it was Hao Xin. In the end, they let it go without resolving the issue.
In the design department, Yang Chun Hong called Guo Ni Shang and accidentally mentioned that the design draft would be sent to the chairman's email at noon. Jin Ying Jie received Hao Xin's employment contract. After reading it for a while, she remembered what Wan Hao had said before. So she decided to wait until Hao Xin was formally employed before signing the contract. At first, Hao Xin thought Jin Ying Jie wanted to take advantage of the situation and make unreasonable demands when the company couldn't do without him. However, Jin Ying Jie assured him that she wouldn't do that. In the end, Hao Xin understood Jin Ying Jie's decision and agreed to sign the contract after his formal employment.
Meanwhile, Yang Chun Hong kept checking the chairman's email but didn't receive the design draft. She was anxious but didn't dare to call and ask.
Hao Yun Lai contacted a lawyer regarding Yang Chun Hong's phone call. The lawyer mentioned that landline numbers could still be traced, but it was unclear what Yang Chun Hong's true intentions were in this situation. On the other hand, Guo Ni Shang finally finished organizing the design draft and sent it out. Yang Chun Hong immediately received it.
