Episode 26 recap: Jin Ying Jie went to Haiyun for an undercover interview.

Hao Xin noticed a job advertisement for a salesperson at Haiyun fashion in the pictures previously taken by Marriott. Marriott volunteered to go, but Hao Xin objected because Wang De Cai, Lao Liu, and Lao Zhang all knew Marriott very well. Marriott suggested finding someone else, and both Jin Ying Jie and Hao Xin agreed that the fewer people who knew about it, the better.

Hao Xin remembered a photo sent by Marriott before, which showed a picture of a salesperson at Haiyun. Hao Xin thought about sending someone undercover to Haiyun, and Marriott understood Hao Xin's meaning immediately. Marriott offered to go, but Hao Xin disagreed because Wang De Cai had seen Marriott before, even in situations where they were practically inseparable. Marriott suggested finding someone else, but Jin Ying Jie insisted that she should go since Wang De Cai had never seen her before. Before Hao Xin could say anything, Marriott blurted out that Wang De Cai had indeed seen Jin Ying Jie before, specifically at a tea bar. Jin Ying Jie hurriedly pulled Marriott outside, pretending to throw away trash to deceive Hao Xin.

Once outside, Jin Ying Jie reminded Marriott not to mention the tea bar incident again, as it would remind him of her true identity. Marriott understood the message but still worried about Jin Ying Jie's safety. Jin Ying Jie pointed out that even when Marriott first saw her in her current appearance, he didn't recognize her. Marriott had nothing to say but still reminded Jin Ying Jie to stay safe.

Hao Mei's days on the set were becoming increasingly difficult, all because of the emperor. They argued again in the dressing room, and the assistant director tried to mediate between them, sometimes siding with one, sometimes with the other. The assistant director mentioned that the emperor was not only paying for the room now but also for the meals. Hao Mei was bewildered because she realized that the emperor's boxed lunch was one yuan more expensive than Fu Gui Hua's boxed lunch. This made the emperor even more proud, and he felt he could even change the script at will. Hao Mei, becoming more professional, expressed her concern about the disorderliness of the production crew, but Biaozi dismissed it, saying it was just a makeshift group and they should focus on finishing the project and getting paid. Since Hao Mei's words carried little weight, she had no choice but to go to the set.

The Caiyun store was out of stock again. Wang De Cai left to buy supplies, and shortly after, Jin Ying Jie went in for an interview. The female manager found Jin Ying Jie attractive and smiled widely during their conversation. She even imagined a scene of a handsome young man being bullied by a woman and automatically created a storyline in her mind. Jin Ying Jie played along with it, and the female manager was thrilled. She didn't even ask too much about Jin Ying Jie's lack of identification and immediately agreed to hire her. They then walked outside together to familiarize Jin Ying Jie with the surroundings.

After Hao Mei finished filming, the director praised her performance and directly rejected the script changes made by Li Xiao Kui. He said that the character Hao Mei was portraying should not be written off so early because she was doing such a great job. Li Xiao Kui asked who would die instead, and the director straightforwardly said that the emperor would die. After all, the emperor portrayed by Li Xiao Kui wasn't exactly a good person. Li Xiao Kui objected and immediately mentioned her father's name. The director responded by saying that no matter who her father was, it wouldn't work. Li Xiao Kui then said she would call her father and put the call on speaker. However, the person who answered the call turned out to be someone from the Public Security Bureau! Li Xiao Kui immediately ran away, and the director proudly stated that he had already known about it. Otherwise, he wouldn't dare to offend the emperor. The director continued to praise Hao Mei's performance.

When Jin Shifu returned home, he revealed to Jin Ying Jie that the boxed lunch she had eaten during the day was indeed made by her own father. Jin Shifu openly acknowledged that the Hao family had helped him, and he couldn't be ungrateful. He even mentioned how great it would be if he could really be the head chef at Shishangxiu! On the other hand, Fu Gui Hua also praised Jin Shifu for helping her during the day and then commented on Jin Ying Jie's appearance, saying that she didn't resemble her mother but rather her father. She then asked Hao Yun Lai if he had met Jin Ying Jie's family. Hao Yun Lai unintentionally blurted out Tao Fu Rong's name but immediately tried to cover it up by saying he saw it on the contract. Fu Gui Hua expressed her intention to hire Jin Yuan Bao as the head chef at Shishangxiu! Hao Yun Lai was somewhat unhappy about it.

At night, Hao Yun Lai lay in bed thinking about Tao Fu Rong and called out her name several times. Fu Gui Hua didn't wake up, so Hao Yun Lai went to the wardrobe and took out a memento from his childhood. To his surprise, when he turned around, he saw Fu Gui Hua. Hao Yun Lai then knelt down and confessed everything about Tao Fu Rong to her, saying that he would work like an ox and a horse to atone for his mistakes.

The next morning, Hao Yun Lai took the initiative to cook breakfast and Hao Xin took advantage of it. Yang Chun Hong called and mentioned the Beijing International Fashion Week, asking Wang De Cai to put in more effort. However, she also requested that Wang De Cai not disturb her for a while as she needed to rest. Yang Chun Hong also discovered that Hao Yun Lai hadn't changed his email password yet. Meanwhile, Hao Yun Lai was still explaining the situation regarding Tao Fu Rong.
