Episode 11 recap: Liu Xiang Shang hopes his grandmother doesn't spoil the children.
After quickly finishing breakfast, Dai Jing hurried off to work. Liu Xiang Shang, upon waking up, had ready-made meals to eat, thanks to his mother's help in keeping the house in order. Every day, the grandmother not only sent the two children to school but also helped them with their studies. Jing Ting Ting now had a completely chaotic household. Although the nanny they hired this time had a very good temper, she was unreliable in her work and even forgot to pick up Chu Yi.
Yang Ming Biao's luggage, which was packed by the aunt, was forgotten with important documents. When the children came home, the grandmother was busy cooking. Liu Xiang Shang even added his mother to the parent group to make things more convenient. The aunt kept apologizing to Jing Ting Ting and said they were going through a tough time. As she spoke, she started crying, hoping that Jing Ting Ting wouldn't complain about her. Chu Yi, seeing this, went to comfort his mother.
The aunt was preparing to leave. Before leaving, Jing Ting Ting gave her a large red envelope. Jing Ting Ting felt that the aunt was not suitable for household chores and perhaps should try something else. When Dai Jing returned home and learned about what had happened, she felt that her husband shouldn't blame his mother, considering how difficult it was for her to take care of the children. Jing Ting Ting had prepared a meal at home, but Chu Yi couldn't eat at all and even suggested ordering takeout. Yang Ming Biao then noticed there was only one dish on the table and after tasting it, he found it wasn't very delicious, so it seemed they would have to order takeout. Liu Xiang Shang received a call from Teacher Li and learned that Liu Guo Ning's exam results were not satisfactory. Liu Xiang Shang had asked his grandmother to sign on his behalf, intending to invite the parents to come to the school. However, Liu Guo Ning directly called the grandmother over, and continuously spoiling him like this would not help his studies at all.
After going out, Liu Xiang Shang wanted to discipline Liu Guo Ning, but Liu Guo Ning hid behind his grandmother, so Liu Xiang Shang couldn't do anything for the time being. Liu Guo Bao usually didn't wash his handkerchief on his own, but Tang Dou took the initiative to teach Liu Guo Bao at school, saying that they were already big kids and should take care of their own affairs. When they returned home, Liu Guo Bao started practicing washing his own clothes and handkerchiefs.
After Dai Jing returned home from work, she saw her grandmother helping Liu Guo Bao sew buttons on his homework. The grandmother felt that if her granddaughter couldn't do something, she would help her. Liu Guo Ning happened to come out and ask his grandmother to sign something, which surprised Dai Jing. It turned out to be Liu Guo Ning's English test paper.
In order to prevent the grandmother from excessively spoiling the two grandsons, Liu Xiang Shang took a different approach and asked his mother to handle all his affairs. Liu Guo Bao, because of his grandmother's help, got scolded by his teacher for the buttons incident. The teacher made it clear to the grandmother that if this continued, it would only harm the two children.
After returning home, the two children apologized to their parents and promised not to be lazy anymore. The grandmother also said that she would no longer interfere in their studies and would focus on taking care of daily life matters. Liu Xiang Shang also told his mother not to spoil the children, as it would harm them. The grandmother was deeply influenced by this advice.
Liu Xiang Shang received a notification from Teacher Wang about a parent meeting. It turned out that recently, the children had been bringing electronic devices to school frequently and had become overly dependent on them. The teacher hoped that everyone could spend more time with their children in the park and not let electronic devices influence their lives.
At night, when the children were asleep, Liu Xiang Shang went to their room to check on them. As soon as he left, Liu Guo Ning took out his phone and tablet to play games. During the weekend, with the elders not at home, Liu Guo Ning was responsible for taking care of his younger sister, Liu Guo Bao. However, Tang Xiao Wei was focused on live streaming at home, and a viewer kept sending her gifts, which completely distracted her during the stream. He scolded Liu Guo Ning for it, and Liu Guo Bao was even helping his brother copy books. Liu Xiang Shang was very angry and prepared to discipline his son.
Liu Xiang Shang confiscated all of his son's electronic devices. Naturally, Liu Guo Ning refused to give up, as he had a team battle game the next day and he needed to have his tablet.
