A drama that brings back so many memories. From the first season to the twelfth season, my parents were there with me. But now, I'm out here on my own, starting my own business, and both of my parents have passed away. I've watched five episodes and sat here drinking for five episodes, missing my parents.
In fact, it's not right for both Xiaomeng and Yongqiang to pressure each other into giving up their careers. Everyone has their own standpoint. Xiaomeng didn't need to seek approval from the Xie family for her investment, but Xie Guang Kun's point about equity is valid.
However, it should be a suggestion rather than a mandate. Xiaomeng opening her business without informing the Xie family was wrong, even though she was afraid of trouble! Bai Qing Ming investing a whole 10 million, I was truly baffled.
Couldn't he invest 8 million? Keep 2 million for marriage? It gives me the impression that he doesn't love her, playing around with others. I couldn't stand the back-and-forth between him and Yannan before. Truly scummy!
The girl's family, the parents, are also strange. They're materialistic, pretending to be noble, but they're actually nothing special!
They moved out together, brought back Teacher Xiao Zhang, and hired a nanny to take care of the household chores. This way, they avoided Xie Guang Kun and even gave him the entire business to run. They have been putting up with him for so many years.
It's less tiring when they're not together anymore. They are in their forties, for heaven's sake. They used to spend their days dealing with their husband and father's tantrums. Xiaomeng is really good.
Who has such a daughter-in-law that treats her like a treasure? This day's events...
Although they went through a difficult period, Wang Xiao Meng and Xie Yong Qiang ultimately did not divorce. Through their communication and efforts, they successfully cleared up misunderstandings and rebuilt the trust between them, allowing their marriage to shine once again.
This experience has strengthened Wang Xiao Meng and Xie Yong Qiang's love and sense of responsibility towards each other. They are determined to face difficulties together, support each other, and not give anyone a chance to destroy their happy family.
In this story, we see the dangers of sowing discord and the importance of trust in a marriage. Only through effective communication, honest expression, and a shared belief can a couple overcome external challenges and weather the storms of marriage, becoming each other's solid support in life.
Ah! The characters Xie Yong Qiang and Zhao Si have undergone the biggest transformation in this drama. They are not as likable as they were in the previous installments. The storyline of this part is outstanding.
Especially when I saw Xiao Meng shedding tears, it felt like I was back in Part 8. Xiao Meng has been through so much hardship in the past, finally had some peace in the last few parts, and now it starts all over again!
The story has more depth than the previous parts. Moreover, I really like the editing in this part. It is layered and the logic flows smoothly. The story is tightly woven, and the switching between characters is excellent.
It particularly gives me a strong sense of resemblance to the first and second parts of "Love in the Countryside"! The negative and positive characters have now created a distance between them.
The divide has emerged, and the conflicts have escalated, but there are still joyful elements present. Unlike the previous parts, which were relatively friendly, all the pressure was on Xie Guang Kun.
This time it is more balanced, reflecting the realities of life that often come with helplessness! It feels very real.
This Guo Er doesn't know how to seek medical treatment either. Although Tang Dun Dun is a doctor, she hasn't fulfilled her role in providing medical care to the village.
It's really not as good as Xiang Xiu being the doctor. Now Xiang Xiu's marriage is also falling apart, and it's even difficult to see the child. I really don't know why the plot has taken a sour turn.
Great! I love this ending. Yongqiang should definitely come back in the next season. The era of weak and cowardly characters is finally over. And Yongqiang isn't completely in the wrong either.
After all, Xiaomeng promised and then went back on her word. Looking forward to seeing Yongqiang causing trouble at the tofu factory, with Guankun trying to persuade him and Xiaomeng shedding tears.
Yongkun and Xiaomeng teaming up to deal with the big boss of the orchard. Guankun: By the way, President Qiang, I have something to take care of with my local contacts. I'll go and handle that.
Of course, she is not pregnant. It's all because of that fake doctor who took her pulse. Her head was bleeding, but he didn't know how to dress the wound. Instead, he just said to use a plaster and stick it on the bleeding area.
Only someone like him would say something like that. It's unbelievable that people still believe his words and think that his wife is pregnant. It just goes to show that the trusting elderly couple were deceived.
The village quack, Guo Er, in Ivory Village, really knows how to deceive people. He tricked Song Xiao Feng's mother-in-law into believing she was pregnant, causing the wealthy couple to become ecstatic. It became the talk of the town in Ivory Village, and even reached the ears of Da Nao Diao, who sought advice from the wealthy couple on how to have a son with his wife.
Quack Guo Er proclaimed himself as a "hereditary" doctor and wanted to hold court for consultations. Ivory Village is quite lively!
From Village One to Village Sixteen, I feel like the original rural romantic comedy has become more and more off-track. More characters are being added, some main characters have become marginalized, and forced romantic storylines are being introduced.
The conflicts are also becoming more far-fetched. Actually, they could have created a new drama with the same cast, and I would still support it. Just don't let the rural romance lose its original flavor.
Watching this drama now, it's a bit irritating. But people nowadays are like this too. Guang Kun can't figure out his own position. Originally, it was Little Meng's tofu factory, and she really endures a lot.
And then there's Zhao Si. The things he does are also speechless. Zhao Si treats Liu Neng like that, and Liu Ying acts as if it has nothing to do with him. It's frustrating.
These are the most boring two episodes I've seen so far. You claim to keep up with current affairs, but live streaming for sales and running homestays are things of the past.
They're not the latest trends, you know. And your portrayal of running a homestay is just ridiculous. Every family running a homestay? What's so interesting about Ivory Mountain?
How many visitors do you actually get? It's a bit absurd. And the biggest problem in the latest two seasons is that there's too little focus on the four major families, right?
Liu Neng had a stroke, and his screen time was so minimal. If you don't want to film anymore, then just don't.
Among the earlier batch of characters, the most unfortunate one is Xiangxiu. She lost her mother at a young age, then her father later on, and even the stepmother she had a good relationship with is gone in the end.
Look at the others who were together with her: Yongqiang and Xiaomeng are doing well, Daguo is thriving, and Liuying and Yutian are also doing fine. It's only Xiangxiu who went missing.
Everyone's choices may vary. Marriage is not everything in life. And I think this time Xiao Meng has undergone significant changes. He actually sees things very clearly, including Yongqiang's transformation and Xie Guang Kun's actions!
Helplessness and powerlessness. Repeated experiences lead to repeated disappointments. People will eventually explode after accumulating enough. And many things are mixed with reality. There's no way, many things cannot be avoided. In that case, you can only choose one, and you will definitely choose what you have always believed in and firmly stood for.
In a relationship, there must be give and take. Both individuals are relatively radical, and if the relationship cannot continue, it used to be that Xie Yongqiang was more accommodating and would act as a mediator. He would defend Xiao Meng in front of Xie Guang Kun and speak gently to her.
He used to handle things more gently. But now? He tends to listen to Xie Guang Kun. In regards to Xiao Meng, he mostly takes an opposing or neutral stance! That's the change, but Xiao Meng will not retreat, she will only move forward because she has her own convictions.
Wang Xiao Meng has it tough too. Whenever she tries to do something, there are a hundred people blocking her way. Xie Yong Qiang has never supported her even once.
He has the same attitude as his father. When Xie Yong Qiang asked his elder sister for investment to save Apple Vinegar, it was fine, but when Wang Xiao Meng wanted to open a branch factory and seek investment from Bai Qing Ming, suddenly it became unacceptable.
It's like he has some sort of illness.
Why does Xie Guang Kun have such a lack of confidence in his own son that he obstructs Little Meng from growing and becoming stronger?
Little Meng is economically independent and manages to balance both her career and family without neglecting either aspect. The meaning behind Xie Yong Qiang's words is as if the child is not his.
Why should one party in a marriage be expected to make sacrifices? If Yong Qiang had achieved success in any of Little Meng's ventures, he wouldn't say such things.
It's clear that he is insecure.
In the past, the character played was a girl from this village, and she was childhood friends with Wang Lao Qi, Liu Neng, Zhao Si, and Xie Guang Kun. It would have been better if they directly portrayed that she went somewhere else instead of beating around the bush.
They could have said that she had an accident while traveling or something more realistic.
I think it's unreasonable. If there was an accident during the trip, surely someone would have recorded a video to commemorate Bigfoot. Then there would be people jumping out to criticize exploiting the deceased.
It's better to leave everyone with a fantasy like this, imagining that Bigfoot went to the countryside to be with their family. Also, it's evident that the drama was filmed earlier.
I hope our beautiful Bigfoot can live a sweet and healthy life with Old Huang in the countryside for the rest of their lives.
Everyone hates Xie Guang Kun, but what he says is indeed the truth. The things he worries about are also real issues in our society. In the TV drama, Wang Xiao Meng and Bai Ming Qing are fine, but in the real world, just think about how important 10 million is for a small business owner...
You can imagine that Xie Guang Kun's mindset is the most authentic throughout the entire series, while the pure thoughts of others can only be found in fairy tales.
Such a disgusting plot! Wang Xiao Meng has never held back in all these seasons, supporting the Xie family and raising children. Xie Yong Qiang only recently started to have some success in his career, and now he expects Wang Xiao Meng to give up her own career and become a housewife.
It's already 2024, and there's still such a disgusting plot. Some men simply don't deserve to have a wife or to have women bear children for them.
After Liu Neng woke up crying from his dream, the conversation between the husband and wife was truly touching. Those couples who have treated each other poorly should learn a lesson from this. Although this is a TV drama, it reflects the reality of life.
When we grow old or fall ill, it is the person by our side who can truly accompany and take care of us.
