Episode 16 recap: Running Dates.

Yang Defu went to pick up takeout. Just as he passed through a small grove and made contact with the delivery person, before he could even take the food in his hands, someone led a team to apprehend him. This frightened Yang Defu, causing him to abandon the takeout and quickly run back to the classroom. As a result, none of his classmates were able to have lunch. Wang Yutian analyzed that this was a scheme by the school cafeteria. First, the refrigerator broke down and no one repaired it, preventing them from bringing food. Then the school cracked down on the use of personal appliances, forbidding them from cooking. Later, they were also prohibited from ordering takeout. The purpose behind all of this was to force the students to eat in the cafeteria.

The sanitary conditions in the cafeteria were particularly poor, but the students were all grown up and couldn't skip a meal. They thought that eating one meal shouldn't cause any trouble. However, as soon as they arrived at the cafeteria, they saw that Lao Gao was frightened by the food in front of him. It turned out that there was a big cockroach on the date cake Lao Gao was eating. Zhao Gao was in charge of the cafeteria. He shamelessly lied, claiming that the cockroach on the date cake was just a piece of date, and he tried to snatch the date cake to destroy the evidence.
