Episode 7 recap: Fire drill.
Wang Yutian informed everyone that a fire drill would be conducted, but the students didn't take it seriously. They even made fun of it, believing it to be mere formalism. This angered Wang Yutian, who was determined to conduct the drill seriously. To make it realistic, he intentionally ignited a smoke bomb, allowing the smoke to fill the classroom. The students in the class still saw it as part of the drill and didn't take it to heart. They continued to tease each other and refused to run. At that moment, Yang Fufu rushed into the classroom and informed everyone that there was a fire. Even the elderly person, Gen, who claimed to have difficulty walking, immediately sprang into action and ran away in an instant.
Old Wang, who had not yet recovered from his leg problem, had to sit in a wheelchair. In his haste, he forgot how to use the wheelchair. Wang Yutian helped him leave the classroom. Old Wang wanted to take the elevator, but it couldn't be used during a fire. Wang Yutian didn't give him a chance to object and directly took him down the stairs. By the time they reached the first floor, Old Wang had bruises all over his face. Yang Defu and a male classmate encountered a blockage in the fire escape route and couldn't proceed. They wanted to turn back but found that the fire door was malfunctioning and couldn't be opened, causing them to become increasingly anxious.
The male classmate, unaware that this was a drill, thought they couldn't escape. He called his wife and vented his frustration, expressing his opposition to domestic violence and even considering confessing his feelings to Yang Defu. Fortunately, before the words left his mouth, someone found them, avoiding an awkward situation. The effectiveness of this fire drill was evident, and the principal agreed to award certificates of recognition.
