Episode 17 recap: Mr. Wu Xian Sheng kidnapped Wen Yunong.
Wen Yunong stated that the jade pendant was not on her person. Wu Xian Sheng claimed to know that the pendant was in the possession of Qin Kewen. However, as long as he had Wen Yunong captured, Qin Kewen would surely be willing to exchange the pendant for her. Wen Yunong was greatly surprised, and Wu Xian Sheng called someone in.
Wu Xian Sheng brought Song Yuer forward, who had been tied up. His subordinate informed Wu Xian Sheng that he overheard Wen Yunong and Qin Kewen talking, and General Qin had been killed by Qin Kewen. Wen Yunong and Qin Kewen had become involved romantically. Wu Xian Sheng said he had already guessed as much and it wasn't very surprising.

Wen Yunong asked Wu Xian Sheng where Song Yuer was. Wu Xian Sheng said that as long as Wen Yunong gave him the pendant, he would release Song Yuer. Wen Yunong reiterated that the pendant was not on her person. Wu Xian Sheng acknowledged that he knew the pendant was with Qin Kewen, but as long as he had Wen Yunong captured, Qin Kewen would certainly be willing to trade the pendant for her.
Wen Yunong was extremely surprised, and Wu Xian Sheng called someone in. Wen Yunong realized that Wu Xian Sheng had actually conspired with the Japanese. Qin Kewen received a letter and came to find Wen Yunong. Wu Xian Sheng released Song Yuer, and Qin Kewen pointed a gun at Wu Xian Sheng.
Song Yuer revealed that she was not Wen Yunong. Wen Yunong brought a Japanese officer and stated that if he killed Wu Xian Sheng, she would release him.
