Episode 7 recap: Xiaoxiang contacted Hai Qingyue.
Xiaoxiang began to investigate the information about Hai Qingyue before Left Yuan. After seeing Hai Qingyue's photo, Xiaoxiang suddenly realized that they were starting to look more and more alike. They also learned that Hai Qingyue was the one killed by Left Yuan. This made Xiaoxiang nervous. At the same time, Left Yuan was continuously monitoring Xiaoxiang's actions through surveillance footage, observing everything they did.
Xiaoxiang realized that something was wrong and wanted to go to the room where they had previously discovered the body in their dream to take a look. However, the room was locked and they couldn't get in. So they decided to find the man who had been investigating Hai Qingyue before. The man showed Xiaoxiang some old photos of Hai Qingyue, and to their astonishment, the woman's body they had found in the pond looked exactly like her. The man informed Xiaoxiang that Left Yuan had killed Hai Qingyue and revealed that Left Yuan was living in that house. He warned Xiaoxiang that it was cursed. Xiaoxiang couldn't believe these words and didn't want to believe that their beloved man was actually a murderer.
At night, it was raining heavily outside the window. Xiaoxiang stood alone by the French window, watching the constantly flickering sky. They felt even more lonely in their heart and hugged themselves, silently crouching by the window. Xiaoxiang felt that everything was too terrifying and was somewhat incredulous. Meanwhile, Left Yuan was watching Xiaoxiang's every move through the surveillance, and Xiaoxiang had no idea.
In order to enter the room, Xiaoxiang pretended that there was a problem with the water pipe and called a repairman. The repairman saw that the lock cylinder was broken, but Xiaoxiang claimed to have already been inside the room. So the repairman recommended a master to help Xiaoxiang solve their troubles. After the master arrived, they saw that the door was red and deduced that a woman was living inside. The master then began a ritual to establish a connection between Xiaoxiang and Hai Qingyue.
