Episode 4 recap: Xiao Zhang and Yicheng were scheming against Jian Moran.
Due to the numerous additional clauses, Jian Moran didn't even bother to read them and just signed on top. To her surprise, those clauses turned out to be about cooking, serving tea, and water. Looking at Huo Jinyan's smug expression, Jian Moran couldn't help but mutter to herself. She, as a respected executive of the Jian family, ended up becoming a servant for someone else. The more she thought about it, the angrier she became. While serving tea to Huo Jinyan, she pretended to lose her balance and spilled the tea on him.
After returning to the company, Jian Moran checked the USB drive and discovered that it was infected with a Trojan horse virus. It was then that she realized the situation was not good. Yicheng, Xiao Zhang, and other company executives called Jian Moran in, suspecting her of intentionally leaking confidential company materials. When Jian Moran refused to admit it, Xiao Zhang called in a witness. To his surprise, the witness denied everything.
The reason for the witness's change of testimony was because of the work done by Huo Jinyan behind the scenes. Huo Jinyan found out about the Trojan horse in the USB drive and ordered his subordinates to crack it, as well as manipulate the witness. When Yicheng and Xiao Zhang's plan failed, they came up with another malicious scheme. Huo Jinyan went to find Jian Moran and unexpectedly saw Xiao Zhang tampering with her drink. He then approached the table and drank the glass of alcohol intended for Jian Moran.
After drinking it, he felt a burning sensation all over his body. Seeing Jian Moran following him, he hurriedly told her to leave and jumped into the bathtub.
