Episode 8 recap: Huo Jinyan discovered the problem with Fuy.

In order to alleviate her embarrassment, Jian Mo Ran deliberately blinked her eyes at Huo Jinyan and asked if he was not moved at all by her actions. Huo Jinyan did not answer her question but turned and left. Huo Jinyan was swimming in the pool when Kyle approached him and informed him about the investigation findings regarding Fuy, the company owned by General Qin. It was indeed problematic as some of Fuy's franchise stores had already closed down. Huo Jinyan instructed Kyle to inform the media about this news.

Upon seeing the media reports, Jian Mo Ran realized that the situation was not good. She went to the legal department to retrieve the contract she was about to send, but was told that the contract had already been mailed and probably signed by now. General Qin looked at the contract sent by Jian Mo Ran, smirked, and was about to sign it when Huo Jinyan suddenly walked in and explicitly pointed out the financial fraud committed by Fuy. He made it clear that Jian Mo Ran would not agree to cooperate. Seeing that General Qin insisted on signing, Huo Jinyan presented the evidence gathered by Kyle.

General Qin became worried that Huo Jinyan would expose the information about the closed franchise stores and their financial transactions to the media. That's when he decided not to sign. When Jian Mo Ran arrived later and saw that General Qin hadn't signed the contract, she breathed a sigh of relief. Since Jian Mo Ran and Huo Jinyan's marriage agreement was about to expire, she asked Ji Jie to draft a new one. As Ji Jie was leaving Jian Mo Ran's office, she accidentally bumped into Yi Cheng and noticed the scattered marriage agreement papers on the ground. It seemed that Yi Cheng understood something.
