Episode 11 recap: Ding Zhaozhao learns about the fire at the Good Deeds Hall.

The steward tells Ding Zhaozhao that he overheard the lady crying and telling her grandfather that she was very afraid, afraid that the children would turn into vengeful ghosts and come after them. He also heard the master say that he had burned those dead children to death with a fire and that there was nothing to worry about. Even if there were vengeful ghosts, they would find a Taoist priest tomorrow to perform a ritual and everything would be fine.

Ding Zhaozhao knows that Mr. Zhao runs the Good Deeds Hall. The steward tells Ding Zhaozhao that since the fire at the Good Deeds Hall, the master has never organized another event there. The steward was curious and wanted to eavesdrop outside, but in the end, he didn't hear any useful information. However, he secretly sneaked into the grandfather's room and accidentally discovered that the master had another account book. The steward tells Ding Zhaozhao that the account book is a dangerous thing. After taking a quick look at it, the master hid it away. The steward originally planned to use this matter to threaten the master into granting him freedom from slavery, but unexpectedly, the grandfather died. Ding Zhaozhao was also afraid of getting into trouble, so he let it go.

Ding Zhaozhao hands the steward, Zhao, over to Wen Sihang. Wen Sihang asks about Chu Bufan's condition and feels that Chu Bufan must know him and even know his own background. Xiao Yuandao has arrested many people and claims to seek revenge for his son, but Ding Zhaozhao feels that the adults are now showing a tendency to kill innocent people indiscriminately, yet they don't let him take over the case.

Ding Zhaozhao returns home burdened with concerns. Zhao Ling'an may not be an innocent person either, but rather someone who uses children to satisfy those high-ranking officials. Ding Zhaozhao doesn't know whether the Six Ministries he is in is righteous or evil. Chu Bufan encourages Ding Zhaozhao to expose Xiao Yuandao's crimes. Ding Zhaozhao tells Chu Bufan that Wen Sihang was picked up by his father.
