Episode 4 recap: Yu Peng Yue met Gao Peisheng again.
Wang Ruoyu's best friend told him that their landlord was having an affair and was now having a big fight with his spouse. They were getting a divorce, so the property needed to be settled, and they had to move out immediately. Wang Ruoyu was also upset about it, but encountering such misfortunes, they had no choice but to continue looking for a new place.
Coincidentally, Yu Peng Yue was also out searching for a house and ran into Wang Ruoyu. Both of them had gloomy expressions. The real estate agent initially thought they were a couple looking to rent a place together, but both of them denied it. The agent even thought they were secretly involved and didn't want anyone to know, which made Yu Peng Yue even more frustrated.
Yu Peng Yue and Wang Ruoyu left together. Wang Ruoyu felt that whenever they encountered Yu Peng Yue, nothing good happened. They couldn't even find a place to rent. Yu Peng Yue, on the other hand, felt it wasn't his fault. He was preparing a proposal and gave the materials to the team leader, saying that he had already made annotations. He accidentally spilled a drop of soup on it while eating instant noodles yesterday, but it shouldn't be a big deal.
The team leader had something to say but didn't say it. When Yu Peng Yue came back, he realized that time had passed, but the lights were still on, and there was no movement in Aunt Zhang's room. He wondered if something had happened. Upon hearing this, others thought Aunt Zhang might have done it on purpose just to test them. Besides, they were moving out this month, so why bother with all this?
Yu Peng Yue felt that something was off, so he broke into the room and found Aunt Zhang lying on the floor. He quickly took her to the hospital. When Yu Peng Yue brought Aunt Zhang back, she said that he had saved her life and she didn't mean to be so harsh. She just felt that young people nowadays lacked manners and wanted to discipline them a bit.
Yu Peng Yue said that most young people were still good. Aunt Zhang said that Yu Peng Yue could live in the house for as long as he wanted. There was a tenant who was moving out, and she wanted her brother to come and live there. She didn't want their rent and was thinking of how to thank Yu Peng Yue.
Unexpectedly, the staff came over and informed them that the entire area was going to be demolished soon, so they came to give them a heads-up. Yu Peng Yue was also frustrated upon hearing this. When Yu Peng Yue and the others came to present their proposal, they were surprised to find Gao Peisheng there. Gao Peisheng said there was no need for introductions; he knew Yu Peng Yue and asked him to quickly present the proposal as he had another meeting later.
Yu Peng Yue was originally sitting down, but the person across from him said that proposals should be presented standing up and questioned why he had no manners. Yu Peng Yue had no choice but to stand up. After Yu Peng Yue finished presenting the proposal, to his surprise, he was scolded by Ye Zhi Qiu, who said he didn't follow their requirements at all.
Yu Peng Yue took out the documents they had given him, stating that he had followed their instructions. Ye Zhi Qiu took a look and realized that there had been a mistake. An employee on their side spoke up, saying that Director Yu had asked him to switch the proposals but he didn't want to do something so unethical, so he had to speak up.
Gao Peisheng took advantage of the situation to distance himself. Ye Zhi Qiu asked Yu Peng Yue if he had leaked information to Li Teng Fei. Yu Peng Yue argued with Ye Zhi Qiu and was eventually kicked out by his own boss.
The project ended up in the hands of Li Teng Fei, who discussed the matter with Wang Ruo Yu, expressing that he had also been used as a pawn by Gao Peisheng. Gao Peisheng said that Ye Zhi Qiu had previously claimed that everything was foolproof, but now it had turned out like this and he had to leave immediately.
Ye Zhi Qiu was also frustrated.
