Episode 11 recap: Huang Zong Wei eliminated the Pang brothers, and gunshots destroyed Tan's border station.
Chen Jian Chang and others continued to stay with the Pang brothers. Chen Jian Chang thanked Huang Zong Wei for being able to adapt and stabilize the situation with the Pang brothers. Huang Zong Wei agreed to the Pang brothers' request and taught them the techniques of drug production. In order to obtain exclusive knowledge, the Pang brothers drove everyone else away. Huang Zong Wei calmly produced a highly pure virus, which delighted the Pang brothers. They no longer doubted Huang Zong Wei. The elder Pang brother eagerly wanted to operate it himself, and Huang Zong Wei solemnly explained the procedure. He said he needed to go out for some fresh air. After Huang Zong Wei left, he calculated the timing and snapped his fingers a few times, causing an explosion in the laboratory.
Upon receiving a message from his comrade Gunfire, Zhao You Nan and Duan Ming Hong took a taxi to the Pang brothers' residence. However, as they sneaked in, they heard a loud noise and rushed in without hesitation. Inside the building, chaos ensued. The Pang brothers had already perished in the fire. A Long held his subordinates hostage to cover the escape of Huang Zong Wei and the others.
Duan Ming Hong and Zhao You Nan separated to snipe the remnants of the Pang brothers. The entire building was filled with toxic gas, and Zhao You Nan quickly became dizzy from the poison. With several of Pang's men about to surround her, Gunfire arrived just in time. He put on a gas mask and swiftly took down those henchmen, quickly carrying Zhao You Nan to safety before promptly retreating.
Duan Ming Hong came to find Zhao You Nan and saw her sitting against the wall, her consciousness already blurred. He hurriedly picked her up and carried her away from there. Chen Jian Chang and Huang Zong Wei successfully reached Tan's territory. Tan informed them that his unreliable brothers, whom he had sent to pick them up, had been dispatched to the border station.
The three major figures met to discuss how to cooperate in the production and sale of drugs. Chen Jian Chang suggested domestic sales, as he had connections in Tengchong, Yunnan. However, Tan believed that overseas sales were the better option. The two had a disagreement, but fortunately, Huang Zong Wei intervened and mediated, encouraging them to work together harmoniously for profit.
Huang Zong Wei asked Tan to bring A Mei over and told them that she was his girlfriend. When A Mei arrived, Huang Zong Wei was especially happy. He first gave A Mei ten thousand yuan and told her that they were involved in exporting chemicals. Although they shared the same room, Huang Zong Wei said he would sleep on the floor at night.
A Mei was filled with gratitude towards Huang Zong Wei. The drugs produced by Huang Zong Wei quickly sold in the border region. He was exceptionally productive, producing one thousand kilograms in just one month. This batch of drugs needed to be sold as quickly as possible. To achieve this, Chen Jian Chang and Tan separately established domestic and international sales channels. The group of people made a substantial profit.
A Long tirelessly assisted Huang Zong Wei in overseeing the drug transactions. Since he couldn't handle it alone, he called upon A Sheng for help. Experienced A Sheng discovered that Tan's subordinate, Ah Qin, was tampering with the transactions. A Sheng sternly pointed out his fraudulent behavior. However, Ah Qin persuaded him not to be so stubborn, emphasizing that they were just pawns and that they might lose their lives at any moment. The big boss made big money, while they made a small amount.
A Sheng was persuaded and quietly pocketed the money Ah Qin had given him. Director Qi came to the Sanping County Public Security Bureau to borrow personnel because they had recently discovered a highly pure form of methamphetamine manufactured by Huang Zong Wei during their crackdown operations. He specifically requested Duan Ming Hong and Zhao You Nan, who had an in-depth understanding of the matter, to join his special task force.
The two gladly accepted the assignment. Lao Hu and Gunfire were sent by Tan to the border station, but the people there didn't trust them. Without any hesitation, Gunfire grabbed a bottle and smashed it over the head of one of the henchmen, immediately triggering a brawl. Due to the outnumbered situation, Gunfire and Lao Hu didn't gain the upper hand. Lao Hu had never experienced such humiliation before and was determined to seek revenge. Gunfire suggested going big when taking action.
So, they first pretended to make peace and shook hands with the other party, and then they set fire to completely destroy Tan's border station. After completing these tasks, the two decided to settle accounts with Tan. While at the gas station, Lao Hu noticed that the logo on the front of a truck looked familiar.
I can understand the talented characteristics assigned to the female lead, such as being good at tracking, having good physical fitness, being alert, having strong observational skills, and a strong sixth sense. But there's one thing that I don't understand at all.
She comes from a special forces background, where discipline and following orders are of utmost importance. But now we have this character... When she's alone, I can understand her not wanting to give up on tracking the enemy and willingly risking her life to pursue them alone.
But when the whole police force is present, she still goes after them alone. Couldn't they at least assign tasks or report the situation to their superiors? It's as if she's on a first-name basis with everyone. And in the end, she directly assigns tasks to the chief.
I'm truly amazed.
With limited manpower, she happens to be a newcomer, coming from a poor family and having no social status. The anti-drug police don't value her much, even if she gets injured or dies, it would be the least loss for them. Chinese people have always been doing the most exhausting work like this, and the achievements are credited to others.
I feel the same way. When I watched the first few episodes, I even wondered if the female protagonist had a normal discharge from the military, considering her age, agility, and the way she was portrayed as being incredibly skilled. Logically speaking, someone like her would be a talent wherever she went, so why did she inexplicably leave the military and become a small-town police officer?
I feel like she probably got into trouble during her time as a special forces soldier due to not following orders and acting on her own, which led to her being demoted and sent to a lower rank to calm down.
