Episode 1 recap: Shen Qi died under the sword of Chi Ye, protecting her clan.
Shen Qi was restrained and unable to move. With tears streaming down her face, she pleaded with Chi Ye not to harm her clan members. Chi Ye struggled in his heart, not wanting to kill innocent people and especially not wanting to lose his beloved. After much hesitation, he finally picked up the sword from the ground and pointed it at Shen Qi's clan members. Shen Qi had a mission: whenever Chi Ye's sword pointed at her clan members, she had to die under his sword to make Chi Ye feel guilty.
Shen Qi assured the clan chief that she would remember her mission, and she did exactly that. When Chi Ye chose to raise his sword to kill her clan members, she blocked the sword with her body and died in Chi Ye's hands. Chi Ye was filled with grief, holding Shen Qi, who was covered in blood, in his arms. He couldn't bear to lose Shen Qi, but she died in the way he least accepted, under his own sword.
Shen Qi fell into Chi Ye's arms, regretful that she could no longer spend the Flower Eve Festival with him. She hoped that Chi Ye would promise her not to save her if she died, so she could touch his face again. However, her hand was too weak to lift, and it fell into Chi Ye's hands. Chi Ye was heartbroken, holding Shen Qi tightly, wishing she hadn't left. He let out a roar of pain like a wounded beast, venting the pain in his heart. Suddenly, snowflakes fell from the sky, landing on Chi Ye and Shen Qi. At this moment, everyone had already left, leaving only Chi Ye holding Shen Qi, hoping to spend each day with her again.
In order to save Shen Qi, Chi Ye drove a silver nail into his chest. Five hundred years later, Shen Qi would awaken, but they could no longer love each other. Chi Ye waited in agony for five hundred years, until the silver bells in the trees no longer rang, finally welcoming Shen Qi. He was extremely excited in his heart, but he dared not reveal himself. Shen Qi prepared for the Flower Eve Festival, wanting to make it lively so she could see Chi Ye. Little did she know that Chi Ye had been watching her all along. He saved her when she was almost hit by a flower frame and left his phone behind. Shen Qi saw his screen and realized that he had been paying attention to her.
On this day, Shen Qi was riding her bike on the island when she accidentally tripped on a stone. Chi Ye immediately appeared out of nowhere to protect her. He had been injured by a tree branch and was bleeding profusely from his back, but he didn't realize it. Taking advantage of this opportunity, Shen Qi returned his phone and left her number. She noticed that Chi Ye was injured and immediately stopped him from leaving. She went back to find Qi Yang to save him, but by the time she returned, Chi Ye had already left.
Chi Ye's body was now indestructible and would automatically heal every time he was injured. However, his clothes would be ruined. He was afraid that if he saw Shen Qi again, things would get out of hand, but he didn't want to miss the Flower Eve Festival. Shen Qi hung a bell on the tree, as ancient books said it made wishes more effective. Her wish was to see Chi Ye again, and to her surprise, Chi Ye actually came to light the lantern. Shen Qi's wish came true, and she asked Chi Ye if they had met here six years ago. Upon hearing this, Chi Ye couldn't control his tears.
