Episode 1 recap: Nan Si had a miscarriage.
In the thirty years of military history, Prince Qi Cang Yunze joined the Blue Moon Rebellion and led his army to surround the imperial city. Emperor Cang Han Yu, together with his beloved concubine Nan Si, joined forces to resist the rebellion. Although they successfully repelled the insurgents, Nan Si had a miscarriage. Cang Han Yu woke up in a panic and wanted to find Nan Si.
Nan Si came over and said they would get married today. Cang Han Yu agreed to marry Nan Si, but shortly after the ceremony, Nan Si started coughing up blood. Cang Han Yu was extremely worried and asked Nan Si what was wrong. Nan Si said that someone had predicted before that they would never see the phoenix crown and the rosy clouds in their lifetime, and now that she had married him, her life was coming to an end.
The high priest came over holding a little girl. She was the premature child born to Nan Si, and Cang Han Yu named her Xiao Fenghuang (Little Phoenix). Cang Han Yu asked the high priest if there was a way to save Nan Si, and the high priest said that with the birth of Xiao Fenghuang, there was a variable. Cang Han Yu and the high priest made a covenant, using their daughter Xiao Fenghuang as an exchange to go to a new timeline and find Nan Si again, breaking the curse of short life.
The high priest warned Cang Han Yu to think carefully because even if he could find Nan Si, it might not be possible to break the curse of short life. However, Cang Han Yu still went. The old lady was very happy here, saying that today is a joyful day for her daughter, and everyone will be rewarded. Everyone received their rewards and was very happy.
