Episode 14 recap: Nan Si wants to teach Cang Han Yu.
Nan Si says that Cang Han Yu is the one he has set his sights on, and he only wants him. His father will surely find a way. When other houses come, they can showcase their talents here, excelling in music, chess, calligraphy, and painting, which will impress the Empress. Cang Han Yu's performance is eating, which makes the other princes laugh and think it's not a talent.
Cang Han Yu never wanted to be with Nan Si, and he is happy to hear what everyone is saying. Nan Si is determined to be with Cang Han Yu, and he insists on being with him no matter what. The Empress does not agree to Nan Si and Cang Han Yu's marriage. Nan Si says that he will teach Cang Han Yu well and make him proficient in music, chess, calligraphy, and painting.
The Empress asks Nan Si what he will do if he can't fulfill his promise. Nan Si says that if he can't, they will forget about it, and he will choose another husband. The Empress gives Nan Si a month's time. If he can succeed, he can be with Cang Han Yu; otherwise, he must accept her arrangements and marry one of the other princes. Nan Si reluctantly agrees.
Nan Si returns and asks Cang Han Yu if he has thought about it, saying that they are destined to be together and that Cang Han Yu cannot escape from him. The imperial tutor comes to see the Empress and informs her that the previous leader of the army has been arrested for corruption, and a new leader has taken office. The Empress says that since the imperial tutor is in charge, she can rest assured.
