Episode 20 recap: Ji Lian Yun understood Xue Dong Feng's heartfelt efforts.
Commander Qin learned from Qin Mengmeng that Xue Dong Feng had recently encountered some difficulties and expressed willingness to help overcome them, but only if Xue Dong Feng married Qin Mengmeng first. Ji Lian Yun noticed that there had been a lot of things moved into the Xue family recently and couldn't help but daydream. Accidentally, she bumped into Xue Dong Feng, who grabbed her and asked her to pour him a cup of tea. Qin Mengmeng, seeing their interaction, became furious and demanded that Ji Lian Yun hold up her dress for her. However, as they went downstairs, Qin Mengmeng stumbled and fell. Out of anger, she ruthlessly struck Ji Lian Yun. Xue Dong Feng, witnessing this, commented that Qin Mengmeng's dress was inconvenient and asked her to change it.
Ji Lian Yun felt a sourness in her heart and believed that Xue Dong Feng cared for Qin Mengmeng. As Ji Lian Yun left, she encountered Xue Zhi Hai. Xue Zhi Hai was dissatisfied that Ji Lian Yun had not yet killed Xue Dong Feng and decided to take extreme measures. Soon, Ana reported to Xue Dong Feng about Ji Lian Yun being kidnapped, and the other party demanded that Xue Dong Feng come alone to the warehouse. Despite Ana's dissuasion, Xue Dong Feng immediately set off with the car keys, disregarding Ji Lian Yun's safety. As soon as he entered the warehouse, Xue Dong Feng was ambushed by Xue Zhi Hai.

She suddenly pushed away the person beside her, creating an opportunity for Xue Dong Feng. Together, they escaped from the warehouse.
Ji Lian Yun realized that Xue Dong Feng risked himself to save her and understood that he had feelings for her. They opened up to each other and agreed to continue their relationship, facing the storms of the future together.
