Episode 9 recap: Ji Lian Yun set a trap.
Xue Zhi Hai found it amusing that Ji Lian Yun didn't take the opportunity to kill Fang Changlin, but instead showed kindness towards him. Xue Zhi Hai couldn't help but feel intrigued. Fang Fei had a strong intuition that Ji Lian Yun had bewitched Xue Zhi Hai's soul, so she immediately protested. Ignoring the fact that they were in Xue's house, Xue Zhi Hai secretly grabbed Fang Fei's buttocks to temporarily put her at ease.
Xue Dong Feng knew that Ji Lian Yun clearly hated Fang Changlin, yet let him go, which must have had a deeper meaning. Upon learning that Ji Lian Yun wanted to see Fang Fei and Fang Changlin fight like dogs, and knowing that he happened to be acquainted with the gambling den where Fang Changlin owed debts, Xue Dong Feng wanted his help. Ji Lian Yun thought Xue Dong Feng was trying to take advantage of her, but to her surprise, he only asked her to change into a white dress. Ji Lian Yun told Xue Dong Feng to leave, but he had already seen her naked before, so he turned away. However, the mirror in front of him clearly reflected Ji Lian Yun's silhouette.
Ji Lian Yun put on the dress but couldn't zip it up at the back. She had to ask Xue Dong Feng for help. Xue Dong Feng recalled the sensual scene he had witnessed earlier and became somewhat aroused. He made plans for Ji Lian Yun to wear the dress and meet him at the restaurant the next day for lunch.
Fang Changlin was chased by people from the gambling den to collect his debts. He pleaded for a few more days of leniency, even mentioning Fang Fei. As interest, the debt collectors stabbed his hand and demanded that he repay the money within three days. Just as Fang Changlin left, Anan emerged from the corner and praised the debt collectors, assuring them that he would speak highly of them in front of Xue Dong Feng.
Xue Dong Feng wished to have meals with Ji Lian Yun as if they were in a romantic relationship, but Ji Lian Yun was no longer the same as before. Everything couldn't go back to how it used to be.
