Episode 11 recap: Yu Jing was urged by Gu Dequan to give birth.
Li Xiaolian brought a bowl of soup for Yu Jing to drink, and Yu Jing asked her what it was. Li Xiaolian told her it was a nourishing Yin-tonifying soup. Yu Jing pushed it away, thanking Li Xiaolian for the soup but feeling it was unnecessary. Li Xiaolian told her she must drink it because her father had someone specially buy it for her. Yu Jing snatched it away and poured it out.
When Yu Jing woke up, she saw Gu Jia Hui sleeping beside her and felt very happy. Chen Gui Hua picked up the milk on the breakfast table and took a sip, and Li Xiaolian said she had no manners and didn't respect the male head of the household. Chen Gui Hua said Gu Dequan was Li Xiaolian's male head of the household, not hers, so she didn't need to wait for him.
The two of them started fighting, and Gu Dequan made them both kneel down. Yu Jing stopped him and asked him what era it was that he still made people kneel down. Gu Dequan said Yu Jing was a junior and that her parents didn't teach her that juniors shouldn't interrupt their elders. Yu Jing said that if the elders wanted children, they wouldn't care about the juniors. This statement made Gu Dequan's face turn black with anger.
Gu Jia Hui said they weren't guests and didn't need to be constrained, so he asked Chen Gui Hua and Yu Jing to sit down. The three of them began eating as if no one else was present. Chen Gui Hua said she had never felt so at ease before and thanked Yu Jing for helping her.
Gu Jia Hui told Chen Gui Hua that the lights in the corridor were broken and that there were stray cats making noises, but it was all in her imagination. Yu Jing told her to believe in science, and after this incident, Chen Gui Hua completely believed in Yu Jing. Gu Dequan told Li Xiaolian to take care of either Chunsheng's child or Gu Jia Hui's child because in the end, all the family property would belong to her.
