Episode 2 recap: Yu Jing discovered that Chen Guihua was feigning illness.
Both Gu Jia Hui and Yu Jing were forced by Chen Guihua to drink medicine. After drinking it, Yu Jing felt nauseous. Chen Guihua asked Yu Jing why she was vomiting, as the medicine was quite expensive. Gu Jia Hui watched Yu Jing vomit and quickly came over to wipe her with a tissue, asking if there was something wrong.
Yu Jing didn't say anything yet, but Chen Guihua brought the remaining medicine over to her and said that the doctor had said it would only be effective if she drank all of it. Yu Jing took the medicine and asked if she was the only one who had to drink all of it, and she would go to the hospital with them. Chen Guihua nodded, and Gu Jia Hui said, "What's the point of nodding? We've already taken the medicine," and then poured out the medicine from Yu Jing's hand.
Chen Guihua got angry and said they hadn't conceived yet, so why did they pour out the medicine. Gu Jia Hui saw Chen Guihua pull out her hair through the crack of the door, and he sat at the table at night, feeling worried and said they must take Chen Guihua to the hospital. Chen Guihua held a knife against her own neck and said, "If they don't want the child, what's the point of living?"
Yu Jing asked Gu Jia Hui what they should do now and that they couldn't just let her continue like this. Gu Jia Hui told her that he was also very confused at the moment. Just as he was speaking, Chen Guihua and her niece, Yu Chun, arrived. Each of them brought a glass of milk for Gu Jia Hui and his wife to drink.
Yu Jing looked at how skillfully Chen Guihua moved her hands and feet, and she didn't believe that she was a cancer patient.
