Episode 1 recap: Mo Bing and Mu Yuanqi were married by the emperor.
Three thousand years ago, Mo Bing had her heart dug out and died, becoming a half-human, half-doll creature. Since then, she has been changing identities every day in search of a heart that can turn her back into a normal person. Now she has finally found it. Ten years ago, she encountered a robber on the road, and her heart condition flared up again. Mo Bing told her maid to leave quickly because she was not strong enough at the moment.
During the crisis, Mu Yuanqi arrived in time to save her. In the process, Mo Bing heard Mu Yuanqi's heartbeat, which was very strong. She wondered if he could be the one. For many years, Mo Bing has used the Miao Yin Fang as a place to gather information from all over. She took the stage name Xian Yun and worked as a courtesan there. Through her investigation, Mo Bing learned that the man was Mu Yuanqi and that he was the prince of the emperor.
Mo Bing claimed that she came to thank Mu Yuanqi for saving her. Mu Yuanqi told her there was no need to thank him and that he even regretted saving her. Mo Bing said that since she saved him, how should he thank her? She suggested that Mu Yuanqi offer himself to her. Mu Yuanqi rejected her, saying that even if all the women in the world were gone, he would not marry her.
Unexpectedly, the emperor bestowed Mo Bing's marriage to Mu Yuanqi. Mo Bing told Mu Yuanqi to quickly fulfill any unfinished desires he had, but to her surprise, Mu Yuanqi was actually attracted to Mo Bing's other two identities, Yu San Niang and Xian Yun.
