Episode 17 recap: Mu Yuan Qi knows Mo Bing's true identity.
Mu Yuan Qi learned that Mo Bing has been immortal for three thousand years. Mo Bing asked Mu Yuan Qi if he was afraid. Mu Yuan Qi was extremely incredulous and asked if Mo Bing was really not deceiving him. Mo Bing then asked if, as a creature that never ages or dies, he is no longer capable of love, but Mu Yuan Qi remained silent.
Mu Yuan Qi discovered that the enchantress Xuan Ji from a hundred years ago is the same Mo Bing standing before him, and that she was also the female general from a thousand years ago. Mo Bing told him it was indeed her, and that she had been immortal for three thousand years. Mu Yuan Qi couldn't believe that someone could be immortal for three thousand years and asked if Mo Bing was lying to him.
Mo Bing asked him if he still dared to love someone like her, and then she left. Mo Bing instructed Zhi Qing to prepare, as they would be leaving the capital after bidding farewell to her grandfather. Zhi Qing asked what happened, and Mo Bing told her that Mu Yuan Qi had discovered her true identity. Mu Yuan Qi was alone, drinking, when Lu Sheng approached him to ask about Queen Mo Bing's whereabouts.
Mu Yuan Qi asked if Lu Sheng believed in people who never age or die, and Lu Sheng said he did, asking if Mu Yuan Qi himself wasn't such a person. Mu Yuan Qi smiled bitterly and said that the person he had been longing for was Mo Bing. Mu Yuan Qi was in great anguish, feeling that he couldn't protect the person he wanted to protect in this lifetime and couldn't save the person he wanted to save.
Mo Bing came to bid farewell to the old general. The old general expressed his gratitude to her for avenging his own grandson, Mo Bing's lover, and for not despising him as an old man. The old general told Mo Bing that if she ever missed him, she should come back to visit him, and that would be enough for him. Mu Yuan Qi caught up with Mo Bing, and she asked him if he wasn't afraid of her, an ancient demon of a thousand years. Mu Yuan Qi told her that he accepted her completely.
