Episode 24 recap: Mu Yuan Qi was taken away by Yun Zhao.
While Mu Yuan Qi and Mo Bing were kissing and hugging each other, King Jing walked in and commented that they were shameless. King Jing asked about Mu Yuan Qi's condition, and Mu Yuan Qi recalled the scene when he sought King Jing's help. He told King Jing that he and Mo Bing should never have reached this point and assured him that if King Jing helped rescue Mo Bing, he would not seek the throne. Mo Bing brought Mu Yuan Qi to the place where Ru Fei died, and Mu Yuan Qi looked at Ru Fei lying on the ground, hoping she was just asleep.
Mu Yuan Qi called Ru Fei "Mother Concubine" and expressed his intention to take her home. When Mo Bing saw Yun Zhao, she immediately ran over to him. Yun Zhao pretended to care for her, but in reality, he wanted Mo Bing's heart. Yun Zhao inserted his hand into Mo Bing's heart. He claimed to have planned this for a thousand years and had to personally intervene to prevent everything from going in vain. Mo Bing asked why he would do such a thing, and Yun Zhao told her that they became enemies the day she gave up on taking hearts. Since Mo Bing couldn't be of use to him anymore, he activated another pawn and used Ru Fei's hand to lead them into the darkness.
Mu Yuan Qi helplessly watched as Mo Bing was harmed by Yun Zhao, knowing that as a regular person, he couldn't resist Yun Zhao's powers. Zhi Qing informed Mo Bing that Yun Zhao had taken Mu Yuan Qi to the Southern Frontier, and Mo Bing suspected that something was amiss.
