Episode 4 recap: Mo Bing found a new clue.
Yu San Niang asked Mu Yuan Qi to leave, and Mu Yuan Qi asked her to promise not to do anything reckless. Yu San Niang agreed, and Mu Yuan Qi secretly vowed to win her heart. After Mu Yuan Qi left, her maid came and told her that he had gone.Mo Bing found it strange that Mu Yuan Qi had no contact with Xian Yun. Why did he want to marry Xian Yun? It seemed that there was another plan. Mo Bing ordered someone to investigate the matter and they found a person related to a wealthy gentleman. Mo Bing secretly sneaked into the study, searching for what she wanted.
Mo Bing discovered that Mu Yuan Qi was also investigating the Duke Jing and the ancient hidden books, but there was no record of him purchasing any information from the Miao Yin Fang. Mo Bing wanted to know the connection between Mu Yuan Qi and Mr. Jin, so she had to pretend to be Xian Yun. Mo Bing disguised herself as Xian Yun and saw Mu Yuan Qi immediately embrace her, complaining that she would rather leave the mansion.
Mu Yuan Qi remembered what his mother had said. Ru Fei told him that Xian Yun's heart was her antidote and asked Mu Yuan Qi to bring Xian Yun to let her judge for herself. Mu Yuan Qi hesitated and said he wanted to confirm it. Mu Yuan Qi went to find Mo Bing and asked her why she wanted to drive Xian Yun out of the mansion. Mo Bing told him that only one of them could stay in that mansion.
Mo Yuan Qi was so angry that he couldn't speak. Mo Bing told him that she desired his heart.
